I'm interested in learning about how much religious education plays a role in Friends schools. Anybody here attend a Friends school or have their kids in one?

No, but the English Quaker schools have a lot up on the net.

I noticed that they are very expensive. I would love for my children to attend a Friends school but it's pretty expensive.

They are expensive. Also check out their philosophy carefully before you enrol. There is a very wide difference in philosophicle outlook between different schools. Some seem very 'new age' & I would be cautious as some Quaker Meetings are no longer even Christian.

Have a look at other church schools too.

Do bear in mind that each school needs to be looked individually. Have a look in each school for a child who reminds you of yours and see if they look happy being there. That often says more about the day to day running of a school than any prospectus.

Some of the brethren in my church send their kids to the local anglican primary school as under UK eduvcation law there are Jewish, RC, CofE, Islamic faith specific schools paid for by government and some private ones too..
In UK law a child may be granted a place at a state funded school rif parents profess Christ but it is open to abuse so the requirements are tightening up.
