As most of you know, I am a die hard Steelers fan. But what you may not know is I really can't stand the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. That being said, their coach is a former Steeler player and assistant coach. And that is my dilema. Do I chear for Tony Dungy or against Peyton Manning?

I'm not gonna watch the game, maybe the ads but then again how many ads for Levitra will I have to take... :help:

I guess I should have added the option: "I am watching the game solely to see the commercials!"

The only time I ever watched football, was last years Super Bowl.

Up here in the Pacific Northwest, we all know that the Seahawks really won and that the refs were bribed.

That being said, I don't care.:)

OHYEAHRIGHTWHATEVER! The better team won last years Super Bowl and you know it. And you are not even a fan of football you just said, so you just jumped on the bandwagon!

Hey, I saw that whole Steeler's QB getting tackled, moving the ball across the line and then the refs saying it was a touchdown!

I was just supporting the team from my area :D

Cheer for the Colts, because Bishop Thomas said so ;-)

Go Vols!

Okay, since the Vols aren't actually in this game, and my husband is from Chicago and is a bigger Bears fan than the SNL Superfans, I have to say Da Bears.

I used to love that skit! Did you ever see the one where they asked who would win the Indy 500, and the Superfans said "Da Bears!" :D

I haven't watched a game since probably 1989 or so, and then it was because of the party, not because of the game. Honestly, I would rather watch a fishing show, golf, or even paint drying. How unamerican is that? :P

Anybody ever watch the movie The Blood of Heroes aka Salute of the Jugger? Now there is a sport I could watch and enjoy !

No derailing my thread.

Is outrage you do not watch football. Have you spoken to your doctor about this?

I would like the Colts to win because of Tony Dungy as well. He was a great coach for Tampa and turned the completly around. It was sad to see him go, but hey we won the Super Bowl the 1st year he was gone. But I really don't think the Colts will win, I think the Bears defense will be to much to handle. Defense wins Championships..

I hate football, my husband hates football, there will be no football on our TV. My husband is convinced that our pretty new TV will spontaniously combust if football is ever shown on it. Today, we will be watching a marathon of stupid movies, Yellowbeard, Blazzing Saddles, Young Frankenstien, and probably Airplane. Last year, we watched the whole Star Wars trilogy (4-6, of course), the year before was the whole LOTR trilogy.

Defense is the name of the game. And that is why I kind of like Mike Tomlin as the Steelers choice of a coach.

Esp the dry skinny old guy rubbing himself against a Chevy... disturbing... hey, one thing tho, not too many Levitra ads. Then again I napped through most of the half quarter.

Not all that interesting of a game, nor am I a fan of either team. But the Bears were the underdogs so I'm going in for them.

The Bud Light Gorilla one was kind of funny. I don't know why, but talking monkey's make me laugh. And I think I want an auctioneer to officiate at my wedding...;)

But as far as the game, I am glad Dungy got a ring, he is such a great guy. But Peyton Manning did not deserve the MVP IMO.

Dungy already had a ring from playing with the Steelers in Super Bowl XIII. And there is NO way Peyton deserved the MVP. He totally stunk up the game at the beginning.

Rex Grossman lived up to all of the doubts the press had about him all season and during the game.

Khaleas
5th February 2007, 09:52 AM
Yea, have to say the Gorilla ad was about as good as it got.
And I have to agree, Manning did not deserve the MVP. I thought the guy they inteviewed before the game, the quiet one, Harrison?? was a better player. Manning just needs to come down from his high horse.

You know how the Bears invented the middle linebacker back in the day? Well, I think it is time they created another innovation: the no-quarterback offense.

It was an okay game, nothing you'll remember for the rest of your life. Now the year that the 49ers beat Denver 56-10, there's a super bowl for the ages. That is, if you didn't like Mr. Ed, as it were.

I didn't see the Snickers ad, but the godaddy.com ad was pretty bad, at least from a mom with young children in the room perspective.

We had dinner at grandma's house and flipped back and forth from the game to the Animal Planet "puppy bowl". For those not familar with it, they have a small enclosure painted to look like a football field, then fill the enclosure with puppies, who play the whole time.

The two best Super Bowl commercials ever are..the one with the lamb streeker, and the one with the chimp in the suit dancing to music, between two men in a chair, and at the end, it says, "Ok we just wasted 2 million dollars".
