From Finland.

After finishing a 5 month course on "The Messiah...an introduction to Christology" from a 1st CT Jewish roots perspective, I have come to appreciate more of the theology of the Orthodox especially the centerness on the Incarnation, Orthodox view on the virgin Mary and the major differences between Orthodoxy and RCs and Protestants.

Even though I have gone through a Luth college and seminary and view things some what with Protestant eyes, I think my views are slowing changing. Does anyone know of any online study site for Orthodoxy where I can study online? Thanking you in advance.

In Him, david.

Welcome, David of Finland!

You are joining the ranks of a growing population of Lutherans who are looking for (and many have found) the fullness of the True Faith in Orthodoxy.

I don't know of any online courses but I can recommend some sites with reading materials.

Holy Trinity Mission (Textbooks) (http://www.holytrinitymission.org/index.php)
The Early Church Fathers (http://www.ccel.org/fathers2/)

Also...check in the St. Athanasius Chapel and Reference Library (http://www.christianforums.com/f271-st-athanasius-chapel-and-reference-library.html)for more info.

And I'm one of them, as in, an ex-Lutheran who is now Orthodox.

The University of Joensuu has an online/correspondence course in English, it's an approbatur in Orthodox studies. Take a look at http://www.avoinyliopisto.fi/

Then if you have the Finnish tucked away then you can always look at http://www.ortodoksi.net/ for general info, but it's a great site with a Finnish board.

This link should be the one for on line classes in Orthodox theology. Just in case these links do not work call the Seminary: Holy Cross School Greek Orthodox School of Theology at (617) 731-3500 and ask for more information. I am positive they have classes on line. Look up also the Orthodox Institute in California they might offer classes also.
