Christ means the anointing and the anointed one from God. In Christ means in the body of the Holy Spirit.

However there is NO POWER in the name of Christ.

If whose name be lifted up?????? Jesus name. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus in the Hebrew means savior but not like the word Hebrew saving today, but as in savior eternally.

Too many Christians think invoking Christ means something, it means nothing. Christ did not die on the Cross, Jesus died and Christ the Holy Spirit raised him from the dead.

At the name of Jesus Christ every knee shall bend. Not at the name of Christ.

Besides in a world that does not know the differance you should qualify at least for their sakes what Christ you mean. Some day Israel will have their Christ. They will say here is the Christ there he is, but those that are taught will know it's the other instead of christ.
Jesus' CHARACTER, perfection, and divinity be lifted up, not his name. Invoking Jesus has no meaning either - invoking his Character, Perfection, and Divinity.

I understand your point JMF... but in truth - whether we refer to Him as "Christ", "Messiah", "Lamb of God", "Prince of Peace", "Immannuel" etc... what matters more is WHO we're talking about. If we really need to be pedantic about it - we'd be safest to stop calling Him Jesus too. After all, the "j" sound is a relatively new innovation. It's more likely He was actually called "Yeshua".
