Nope. You're in Texas and we're in Maryland. Besides, Williams' Mamma just gave him a baby sister for a Christmas present. Sounds like you're still waiting for your son's present to arrive.

I agree. My oldest daughter, now in University, attended a fine private Lutheran High School, so through those years we were involved in many Lutheran activities.
I have no grandchildren, my oldest is just 18 and youngest is 11.
My oldest has just started dating, so I am looking forward to many more years before I am a grandma.

Some days we just feel 90, but I know a lot of spry and lively active older adults, I wonder if they ever feel 42???? Or if they would want to?

Hello!!!

Just got back from the St. Louis Auto Show. We go every year, but this year, we were on a mission. My car is going to be paid off in a month, and we are looking to upgrading to something bigger for when we have kids. Minivans are not us, and we hate the gas mileage on SUVs, so we are looking at the crossovers. We've been leaning towards the Nissan Murano, but tonight we tried on an Acura MDX and really liked it. I've test driven the Murano multiple times. Have to test drive the Acura.

Redneck - thanks for getting the Monty Python reference in the other thread - Mr. Flipper got me the entire series on DVD for Christmas, so that's all I've been doing in my "spare" time. Just saw that episode the other day and the timing was perfect with Ed's quip about the inquisition. Now, if only I can fit the Dead Parrot Sketch in somewhere... Or Upperclass Twit. Also, congratulations on the new baby on the way!!!!

Trying the kid thing again this month (with medical help like before). I'm giving it a couple more months, then I think we'll start the adoption thing rolling. I'm going to keep my car until we know one is on the way before trading it - that way we can get some other bills paid down/off before taking on another car payment again.

However, if I do get the Acura before the get-together - it does seat 7. ;)

I wouldn't worry about that. I was chasing girls at 5 and I turned out almost normal :D In fact those days are some of my fondest memories. I had a girl friend when I was 5, her name was Judy and she lived accross from my GrandMa and GrandPa. Of course I chased all the girls at school. ;) I think it was just lots of fun and they enjoyed it too. Kids are pretty innocent at that age, well, sometimes ^_^

Yesterday at 8:43PM? I was out at Blockbuster getting "Finding Nemo" for Sunday School! The night before, er, I was probably watching television or reading my book. I've been reading a lot books and I've read five books this month so far! That makes me very happy! That means 45 more books if I want to read 50 books this year. . .have I told you how much I love the library?

That's not what I meant and you know it ms, "I remember them taking thier first steps and now they're 15"...I heard that for about 3 weeks now...

I need to make a disclaimer. I was talking about some obviously expensive cars. Our problem is that he is 6'4" and all torso, so anything I get has to have enough head room for him - the Nissan and the Acura are actually the least expensive models that he can fit in. I really like the Lexus and the Infinity versions, but they are way more than we want to pay. I wasn't too impressed with the Mercedes or the BMW, not to mention, they don't fit him. Mazda has a nice one that fits him but it didn't seem to have a lot of power when we test drove it a few months ago - the Nissan had more power. His weird body shape cancels out much of the crossover market, definitely of the less expensive models, as we found out last night. Believe it or not, it cancels out a lot of the SUV market too. He can't fit in a Jeep Cherokee comfortably. He does fit in a GMC Envoy, which is another thought, but I don't like the gas mileage.

My car is being paid off ahead of time, and it should bring a decent trade in price.

I'm happy with a little compact, but after my Cavalier got totaled and I almost got sardined, he won't let me get anything smaller than a full size - and it has to fit him as well. Makes car shopping difficult!

tell him I feel his pain...I'm 6"3" and my legs are about 4 inches long...thats why I usually drive a truck...

I can't imagine. I'm 5'4 and my husband is 5'8'. So there's no real problem in just about any vehicle we get. (we wear the same size shoe, too)

My sister on the other hand... *shudders* she's barely 5 foot, and married a guy who's 6'5". They finally broke down and got a vehicle that has a fancy programmable car that "remembers" different settings for seat and steering wheel and even pedals. She just got tired of having to spend ten minutes adjusting everything before she could drive it.
