http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/944/iqscore9wv.jpg

the formula for the scores is as follows :

How do I interpret my score on the Classic IQ Test?
According to Tickle's Classic IQ Test:

* - A score between 70 and 84 places you below the population average
* - A score between 85 and 99 puts you slightly below the population average, but is in the normal range
* - A score of 100 represents the population average
* - A score between 101 and 115 puts you above the population average, but is in the normal
* range
* - A score between 116 and 130 means that your IQ might be significantly above the population average
* - Scores of 130 and above puts you significantly above the population average

144 is the highest possible score.

Guess I missed one, oh well, the number's low anyway, can't get over 144 on this test. I would note though that in many ways high intellect is actually a risk factor for a Christian, God chose the foolish things of this world. I was lucky, God chose to bring me close to him with some other problems I have to be carried by him to overcome.

It was interesting, thanks Richard, though I was bored by having to reject all those offers, at least that is preferential to having my email sold to every guy who wants to bombard me with "special" offers.

That's not surprising, and I dont mean that in a put down way to you, it's a weakness of the test. Many of the questions were at least in part culturally based and so if you haven't been immersed in American or European culture, you would tend to score lower on this test. Throw in a bunch of say, Asian cultural saying and references and watch the numbers bounce around.

Creating a fair test has always been one of the big problems of IQ tests, and the cultural bias was used sometimes to "prove" that certain peoples were less intelligent than other groups.

It's really hard to test people's mental abilities in a way that is very meaningful.

To be honest, I doubt the existence of such a thing as an IQ. This test, for example, seems to test mathematics and vocabulary. I remember the one question which asks about two cars that drive six miles in opposite directions, make left turns, and drive eight miles. I obviously remembered the Pythagorean triple {3,4,5}, and was able to deduce in mere seconds that the cars would be 20 miles apart. Someone who hasn't had an extensive mathematics education might be prone to forget such a detail, despite having exceptional skills in other areas. So I wonder how meaningful these test scores really are.

IQ scores are supposed to be adjusted based on age. There's only a few online ones I've seen that really take culture into account.

Bloody ads... I wish they included a "sexual orientation" catagory and a "job" catagory and took into account my age. Then they'd know not to bother showing me ads. What on God's green earth to I need a scooter and babyfood for?

Congratulations, Ian!

I took the test and knew for certain the correct answer to all but one question (math is not my greatest strength) and gave that one my best shot. Since I knew that the test was bait for a marketing scam, after I completed the test I bailed on them. I sure hope none of you gave them your e-mail address and gave them the other information that they asked for to help them know which products and services they could most likely seduce you into ordering!

I must confess though, my last post was just for a laugh. :) I grew up in Canada, and haven't only been living in Asia for a couple of years.
