Actually Erin, I think the title "son of perdition revealed" was referring to Hillary Clinton's announcement last weekend that she will run for President. ;)

Come on, I bet you're rolling on the floor laughing right now.

Ah, I forgot about that.

But Hillary's not a dude. Mostly, I guess.

Sheesh! Am I that obvious? You're right. . .as soon as I read that I was dying. ^_^ :D :P Please, pretty please, pretty please with sugar on top tell me that you WON'T VOTE FOR HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could deal, I suppose, with almost anyone in office, but NOT HER!!!!!!!! I think I'd have to seriously considering moving back to Italy or something if she came into office.  :sigh: :swoon:    And the whole "woman president" thing is all well and fine on "Commander in Chief" but I don't want a woman president.

OK, here's what I can give you. I definitely won't vote for Hillary in the Democratic primary. If by some twist of fate she wins the primary and McCain wins the Republican nomination, I might consider voting McCain. But in the end, I am a Democrat, and I can only do so much. :sorry:

Your option if McCain doesn't win. . .no vote is better than voting for Hilary. . .right? ;)

That's a tough one. The pro would be that we could have a Democratic Congress and White House, we Democrats could basically do what we want with impunity. And with all the conservative judges on the Supreme Court, I even get my way with abortion and homosexuality.

The con...well, she's Hillary.

We don't need to worry. Neither McCain nor Hillary is going to make it through the primaries.

It is indeed. I still think that my earlier joke was one of the funniest I've ever told in my life.

Hilary said today she hopes Bill will give her input if she's elected. I hope she doesn't mean input in everything in her life. ^_^

Unfortunately, I heard otherwise from some political analysts before the State of the Union today. They mentioned that Hillary actually has a good chance of winning the Democratic nomination.

I think that at this point in American politics, I'd vote for practically anyone over a Republican (not that I don't like Republicans personally, it's the whole Iraq thing). But that doesn't mean I have to like it. I really don't want to have to vote for Hillary, so I hope the analysts are wrong on this one. Maybe she'll pull a Howard Dean, do a dumb sounding laugh on TV, and lose a bunch of votes before the primaries.

Me, I would give her my vote..would not be the first woman president the usa has had...who do you think ran the white house when ronald regan was in...lol....besides look at england...a woman runs that...I believe she would be a great president... For this to be a nothing post...it sure is growing..lol

~ Want a scary scenario? Edwards v Guliani...
~ Actually, I cant think of any of the democrats who I would vote for, and a lot of the Republicans have too much baggage or are too liberal for my taste..
~ Continue to discuss amongst yourselves...

I think we can count on it. She has plenty of time to hang herself. And she will. Just today she made some sort of inappropriate comment about how she's had past dealings with evil men (or words to that effect). No one seems to know who she was talking about, and when she was asked, she--in typical politican form--gave a nice little speech and didn't answer the question. Personally, I think she was talking about Bill.

I think it's funny that she doesn't seem to have the support of women that you'd think she would. I was watching Fox News today and not one woman who called in said they would even consider voting for her. Of course, to be fair, I suspect the vast majority of the viewership of Fox News wouldn't give her the time of day. But in my opinion, most women have the common sense to see through her phoniness. She does seem to have men fooled though, for the most part. I find that interesting.

But if by some miracle she doesn't alienate herself during the primaries (hey--it could happen), and she gets the democratic nomination, then I can rest easy knowing we'll have another republican president come 2008.

Which is precisely why I want Hillary to lose right now. I really want to have the Democrats in control of everything, even if it's only for a few years. :sorry:

Yeah, but unlike Dick's patsy of a hunting buddy, I doubt that Hillary will apologize to the Vice President after getting shot in the face by him. :D

Seriously though, something like this just might work to the advantage of people like me. If Dick shoots Hillary with birdshot, she'll be in the hospital too long to do any significant campaigning, and the Republicans will look bad, thus handing the Presidency over to another Democratic candidate. You're on to something!

I dont need you to tell me what is and is not acceptable short bus.

When you stop believing the nonsense of Landmarksim, KJO, Anti-RCC and Geocentrecism you can mention what is and is not acceptable.

I would never vote for Hillary I think she is the absolute worst-case scenario for us. I would be affraid of her winning though. I know that conservative women would not vote for her, but I think this country is close enough between the parties that she could very easily win, I don't write her off.

Now I would at least consider voting for Barak Obama, though I want to see more of him, and learn more about him.

OK children, back to the subject at hand . . .

JacobHall, since you have the elephant incon, who's your pick so far? I was thinking Brownback myself, but I've heard a couple of unsettling things that have made me not 100% sure. Romney is also a possibility in my opinion, I'd like to hear a little more about him as well.
