Hi all!

My first time on the Baptist forum. Wow - so many brother and sisters in Christ!

I've just discovered I am Bipolar-2 or (more accurately) 'soft' bipolar. Never had mania, only cycling mood episodes and (extremely brief) hypomania, plus a whole stack of 'soft' symptoms. I am coming to DC to seek a comprehensive assessment and get a confirmatory diagnosis. I am going to be seeing Dr Goodwin from the NIMH. It's going to be a very expensive 2nd opinion but I feel the seriousness of BP-2 - and the risk of being misdiagnosed - justifies it.

Are there any members here from the DC area that know of a church family - preferably Baptist :) - that would be kind enough to billet me for, say, one week? You can read my bio here on CF and I can get a covering letter from my pastor (which will confirm I am a member of my local [Baptist] church and that I am an active member).

Alternatively, if the above is not feasible, then can you provide 2 or 3 Baptist churches that are renowned for their hospitality that I could approach directly?

God bless,
Mark.
