"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." This subject of SEPERATION has to do with the above Scriptures as much as with all the Creator-given good common sense the Holy Sprit gives us everyday to put all the truth we have learned into daily practice. We learn from Scripture that it is a command to SEPERATE from any person or organization that willfully insists on teaching false doctrines that undermine the foundations of our Church and each of our individual spiritual lives.
Apostacy means turning away from the truth to follow a lie. Sentient beings like mankind follow what they believe in. If you believe a liar you will be led totally astray from the truth. That fact is why Yahshua and all of His Apostles spent SO MUCH TIME preaching about this subject. Read the Bible and you will see for yourself. Warnings are found everywhere concerning false doctrine and the false teachers who teach them.
Nowhere in Scripture do we see our Creator instructing us to go around the World uniting Churches while ignoring what each of those Churches teaches. That type of running around is called Ecumenicism. The subject of a future excellent preacher sermon.
