This is to temporarily take the place of the Old PBnB which will likely close this weekend. Please continue to use the Old PBnB until she is full. I think it will be a week from monday before the poll closes on voting for the new thread.
Good bye Old PBnB :sigh:

Temporary chit chat, huh?
1. Well, in California, it's been unseasonably COLD (a couple of nights it was below freezing) killing a lot of plants around here and forcing me to not only wear long pants but even a sweatshirt!!!! There was a tad of snow at Malibu (I guess first time in over 50 years) but it's been VERY dry here - we've had less than 2 inches of rain all season.
2. Got a doctor's appointment on Monday. Just regular stuff. Nothin' serious.
3. Had my wisdom teeth taken out awhile back. No jokes about wisdom, okay? Expensive and a bigger deal than I thought it would be. Kind of a rite of passage, I guess.
Blessings to all....

Yeah, I heard that it was cold out there too. Kind of a shock for you you sun dwellers heh? ;) We might go few days before we see the sun, and sometimes weeks before we see above freezing temps, but its been pretty nice here so far, a litle cold the last week, but stil not zero.
I had my wisdom teeth pulled over 40 years ogo. I used to be smart, at least now I have an excuse!

Not fun--when I had mine pulled out they were impacted and the dentist said that he would have to bust some of the jawbone out to get them out. He didn't tell me that untill he had my mouth open and ready to dig........sneaky.

I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled one at a time. Each time I did, I was so bad (1/2 of my head would swell, down to my shoulder), that I was out of work for 7-10 days. Being in the Navy at the time, when excuses were not accepted, my commanding officer allowed my excuses for these "events".

It's been quite cold here, too. . .that is, for Louisiana. Thursday the sun is supposed to reappear. At the moment, I'm actually looking forward to Florida for the weather, too!

Well thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers, especially for our friend Radidio. I know he can use all the prayers we can muster.
I did win the battle with my truck. I thought it would be 45 minute job, turned out to be nearly 4 hours due to marvels of moderan engineering and design. ^_^
I called back my cell phone provider. I can't believe the way they treat a customer. Buy a phone and accessories and the following day shut off your service. If I didn't need it for my job I would kiss it good bye  I'm pretty sure I could win a law suite against them, but I don't really believe in them. I'm one of those customers that just goes away.
It was cold out here today, but nie to be outside cause the sun was shining all day, and the wind wasn't bad. It was nice to be outside. I remember when I first came home from the service. It was January 1969, and quite cold. I couldn't sleep unless we left the bedroom window wide open. That was hardly barable for my wife and she is kind of cold blooded. She has since adapted to my my temps. ;)
35 years ago we heated the house to 78 degrees, now we turn it up to 62 when we are awake and down to 59-60 when we go to bed. I guess its true the longer you are married the more you grow alike. How she has put up with me I have no dea. Must be devine intervention. :holy:
I had an 84 dodge RamCharger. It was the only vehicle that I worked on that I had to drop the radiator to change the water pump. I felt like driving to Detriot, find the gentleman who designed that, and punching him right in the mouth (or hitting him in the head with my Chilton's guide)

Jim I can't believe you keep it at 62 degrees. I used to like it cool to until I took blood pressure meds and now it has to be at least 70 in the house. About 65 at night. I was allways warm blooded and would go out and cut wood in a T-shirt when it was in the 30's but not now. I would freeze to death. My biggest problem is sweating when it's cold out. Have to carry a 'kerchief around when I'm outside doing something or I'll catch a cold.
I'm going to the storage shed when the snow melts. It just snowed about 3 inches, and do some work on the 58 Chevy. Wouldn't start. I think it's the EI distributor. Not sure if it's the module or coil. It's from an old 60's chevy and they were both built into the distributor. Anyway there is no fire. Hope the coil didn't "punch through" the rotor.

Good luck with the car Rad. Its getting where don't like working on them. Not only is hard to keep up with technology but I'm so stiff that I can hardly get up off a creeper or bend over the hood.
I will be starting the clutch job in my sons pickup maybe next week. I was going to hire it done, but when I got a quote from a dealer, I found out it would add almost a $1000 to the cost I can do it for, and I had to buy a transmission jack and still come out $1000 savings.

Well, women shouldn't be helping with communion. That's the role of the pastoral office which women are not called to.
There, that answers that. :)

High heels? I remember many years ago when it first became popular for younger women to wear very low cut fronts on their dresses. One pastor in particular felt that distributing communion could be a challenge for the pastor when distractions like that happen.
Modesty is appropriate, style can change. Of course, I put put high heels in the same category as neck ties. Who needs them?

I haven't had any problems with my wisdom teeth, will hopefully stay that way! (Now, cavities are a completely different story). However, i have quite a small mouth! That's what's surprising. . ..my dentist (when his practice was still open) was pleased with how my wisdom teeth seemed to look!

I found a couple things that were not quite accurate, like the length of the Great Flood. The flood lasted 150 days. It rained 40 days and nights.

That is awesome! I wished I could have had to foresight to do something like that years ago. I would have also liked to be a Pastor but I doubt that I am smart enough. I still haven't mastered the english language and our Pastors have to learn at least 4 other langusges or more, besides I am a lazy reader.
