In the Bible we are told ahead of time when something is going to happen to the Jewish peoples. Such as the 400 years in Egypt, wandering in the wilderness for 40 years until the old generation dies, etc.
In the most respectful way possible, was the holocaust in WWII foretold to the Jewish peoples? Was it prophesied somewhere in the Bible?
God Bless!

There are those who say that the holocaust is prophesied in one of the Psalms (I can't remember which), but the prophecy could just as easily be applied to the Babylonian exile. The curses for disobedience mentioned in the Book of Deuteronomy also sound very familiar to the holocaust. But again, these could be applied equally to Israel's oppression by its enemies as recorded in Scripture.
I am of the school of thought that most Biblical prophecies refer to God's chosen people, which after the resurrection of Christ came to include many Gentile believers, and to exclude many unbelieving ethnic Jews (for anyone who needs labels, I don't believe in dispensationalism). Since most of the Jews who were killed in the holocaust were not Christians, I don't think we'd find any prophecy of Scripture which refers to this. Besides that, I can't find any Scriptural evidence that God would punish Jews for their rejection of Christ anymore than he would punish Gentiles for the same sin.

I didn't mean to imply it was a form of punishment for not believing in Christ. I was just inquiring in general, for whatever reason, was it foretold.
Good stuff though!

As you requested a respectful thought on the Holocaust, No I would say there was no prediction
on the holocaust, the holocaust comes from the douay-
rhiems bible and it means burt offering.
The following I know from History, In 1935 the Jews
were asked to leave Germany and they were given
4 years to do this. They were allowed to sell what
ever they had and take it with them. In 1939
Father Coughlin the radio priest was doing all he
could to stop a war with Germany. On Radio he
appealed to Americans to stop this quoting the
fact there was only 60,000 Jews left in Germany
since millions left and war was a bad idea. He
was tagged for sedition and removed from the
public eye. During the war many died in camps
from typhus and old age, later many starved
to death from allied bombing of supplies to these
camps. At this point the Zionists took over and
made false claims for sympathy, which got them
alot of money to over throw English Jerusalem
and call it Isreal.
This is history not slures, you can find this in
any library

I'm not aware of any offer made by the German government to permit the Jews to sell their possessions and leave Germany. Furthermore, as far as I know, the Holocaust began in 1933. As for the alleged overthrow of British Jerusalem, I am not aware of any such act either. Jerusalem was given to various Jewish peoples by means of the Balfour Declaration of 1917, in which it was stated that the British government favorably viewed the establishment of a national homeland for Jews.
While I do not view the state of Israel as any sort of fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, I still think it is unfortunate that "Zionist" has been turned into a dirty word. I might be reading between the lines, but it seems to me that this is the connotation employed in the previous post.

Well don't forget in the Holocost over six
Million Jews were killed due to their beliefs
At the hands of an evil madman like Hitler.
True it is a dirty word that seems to cross the line.

Well actually, they were killed on account of their racial heritage rather than their beliefs. The big difference that separated Hitler's anti-semitism from classical European anti-semitism was that Hitler hated the Jews because of their lineage rather than their beliefs. A Jew who practiced another religion, such as Christianity, was no better in Hitler's book than a religious Jew. Hitler used all belief systems at his disposal to promulgate hatred for the Jews. He quoted Luther's On the Jews and their Lies, he indoctrinated his S.S. officers into Norse paganism, and (if I'm not mistaken) he argued from the theory of biological evolution that Jews were an inferior race. It seems to me that the Jews' beliefs were the last thing on Hitler's mind.
I don't know precisely why Hitler hated Jews. Perhaps your answer, that he is "an evil madman," is the best explanation we'll ever have.
