I hope this doesn't start a big controversy, but Yovel mentioned TBN in relationship to the thread on Esther and I didnt' want to take that off course so will post this here.

I was watching something on there while channel flipping the other day and came across this show called.,

In search of a Miracle, AGAINST ALL ODDS

It was by a Jewish reporter /writer, something Greenspan, who apparently does these shows on Israel and about her becoming a nation again and all the miracles surrounding it. It talked about the wars and interviewed some of the men who fought and saw miracles. I thought this was really different from the other 'things' I have seen aired by this station, that is questionable at best.

Has anyone here seen it?

It comes on next tonight 7:30-8 EST and an hour later for each time zone. It is also on going into Friday morning at 12:30-1am

I have seen it twice and found it very informative and I love how it brings to life our people resurecting from the dead as in Ezekiels vision. And the faithfulness of our G-d who said he would do this and he would make it happen. :)

Ah, I heard of this channel and this show.

I'll have to ask a friend to send this to me. I saw one of these programmes and it was about a lady who spied in levanon for Israel and was in jail and beat a long time; but still came out and was freed.

Her husband and children lost *everything* in Levanon but found new life and freedom in Israel. :)

One of the stories I remember from one I saw was about this man named David Yaniv, in 1973 during the war he was in the Golan Heights and with about 6 other men. They had to cross a field to get to where they were going on foot, I dont' remember why, I don't like war stories too much :) but he said it was a clear night full moon, and the knew this field was seeded with mines, and they had to go very slowly moving their knives around in the sand, sticking it in gently to see if there was metal below the surface, then they would trace it out so it could be cautiously stepped over by the others. This was tedious.

They he said out of no where, the sky clouded up and a big wind came, it was strong, but what it did was blow hard enough to uncover every single mine in that field. As soon as it had uncovered them, it immediately stopped, not died down gradually , but stopped and the clouds went away and the moon appeared and they could see everything and quickly passed through.

It wasn't until after this , later when they were safe and talking did he realize that he as well as those others had witnessed a miracle. And only G-d could do that for them. :)

I wonder if this can be gotten on DVD? It would make a good Israel new ( since 1948) history collection.

Thank you for sharing that with us about David Yaniv. That was very moving. At one time I tried to find as many stories of soldeirs and civilians who were caught up in war have had miraculous experiences that only G-d could have done. "It was Your right arm ...":amen:

is it this one?

"Against all odds - Israel Survives" (http://www.amazon.com/Against-All-Odds-Survives-Complete/dp/B000GNOGDI/sr=1-2/qid=1168787685/ref=sr_1_2/104-3888917-3638358?ie=UTF8&s=dvd) ? This is a "complete first season" dvd set.

A reviewer on there say

saw this series on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network. This is the most touching, heart warming, inspiring, and emotiional doccumentary about israel and the miracles that have taken place in the lives of israelis (soliders, settlers, and everyone else). A jewish reporter from new york goes to israel to investigate reports of miracles in israel. Makes me glad to be jewish.

I received this DVD set and it is good thus far. I am just sad it isn't many episodes (really only 4 stories done in mini-series style)...

It's good though!
