I have a story to tell; I have a Jack Russel terrier named Tucker. See, there is this squirrel that is loyal to this specific tree. In the back yard the squirrel is playing games with my dog by climbing down to gather food. My dog starts barking and I let him out the door real quick so he can try and catch the squirrel but the squirrel is too quick and always escapes up the tree. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

My in-laws live on a heavily wooded lot, and have a couple of dogs. I think the squirrels tease the dogs on purpose, because they know they can get away from them!

My first step away from protestantism was the discovery of the uniqueness of Orthodoxy theology. My first inquiry into EO was with Xenia Rose over 3-2 1/2 years ago. And with 5-6 years of serious study on top of that. . .
I publicly confess that God is Father,Son, and Holy Spirit, consubstantial, one God.
I confess the Creed of the universal Orthodox Church.
I would like to politely ask the moderators to please change my faith icon to the triple-cross EO.:holy:

I now understand why the Orthodox take things slow and day by day.:)

Congrats and welcome to the little circle of TAW catechumens!
BTW--How is that pronounced, guys? I never actually heard anybody say the word. It doesn't come up in classes. :)

Hey, I was close! Of course, the pronunciation I used before was way off. These Greek words don't seem to sound the way they look.

I was pronouncing the 'ch' wrong when I was inquiring. Catechumen, catechesis, catechism, etc was all being pronounced with 'ch' as in 'cheese'. You learn a lot in Orthodoxy! :D
I learned how to properly pronounce those, denarii, schism, and all sorts of things. ;)

Yes, Orthodoxy does have an effect on your vocabulary.
You learn that everything good comes from the Greeks.

I knew how to pronounce "catechism," but "catechumen" looked like "kuh-TECH-yoo-men." :)
