I wind up spending WAY too much time online when I go there! I've started logging on only about once or twice a month.

I used to go quite a bit but there's a real bad element in the chat room so I stopped going. :P ;) :D
I check in a couple times a week but don't spend as much time as I used to.

You don't want to know, honestly.
Frankly, I find the folks at byzcath.org to be much nicer, because they have Orthodox Priests who are admins on that site. And they give wonderful advice. It is very balanced.
And again, for those who are naive, I am not a mod there. Just add the www in front of byzcath.org and you can get there. :)

You can find a bad element anywhere, including here. I don't spend much time on-line, period, for it is an addiction.
Among my friends on O.C. are two Orthodox priests, from two jurisdictions.
What are we looking for in an Orthodox Christian web-site, bells and whistles. If that is the case, then it's no difference that any Protestant church.

I use www.orthodoxwiki.com and can use the IIRC relay chat there.
I'm learning how to add/edit wiki pages with bbc code.

Yea, being the "expert" on Orthodoxy, and writing the articles about them, is probably best left to the people who have been adult Orthodox for 10 years or more, whether that's through adult conversion or aging up.

I still think only clergy should be allowed.

Frankly, I would rather see only graduates of Orthodox Theological Seminaries serving as editors of the Orthodox Wiki.

I think that's probably a good idea. I go to School with one of the original editors, and I trust his pages, but now He's a Priest, so he's not doing it anymore :(
