Yea, Bp Seraphim is cool! He's been a priest for a little while at New Valamo monastery in Finland a long time ago (IIRC). Have either of you met Hieromonk Vladimir? He was at New Valamo for quite a while and everyone misses him and his goofy sense of humor. He's an iconographer and would have classes for kids and they just adored him.

I didn't know that Bishop Seraphim was a Priest for a little while at New Valamo Monastery. I would've known if i read his book that i recently purchased, it's called, "From the Bishop's Desk- writings of Vladyka Seraphim of Canada."

No, i havn't met Hieromonk Vladimir, but i would love to met him. However, Hieromonk Damacene is coming to town in the next couple of months, so i'll be seeing him. It will be very interesting.

I'm not absolutely certain, but I think that there is someone on TAW from Turkey. I recall someone posting about rising numbers of Orthodox Christians in Constantinople and it certainly sounded as though they were one of them from the way the post was written.

Being a bishop 25 years makes you an Archbishop, and AB Kyrill has been a bishop since about 1965.

I had a talk about territories with our parish priest on new year's eve, we were invited to his house. My question was somewhat, AB Alexios authority, as far as I know, is not only covering Georgia, but other states as well. But states like NY, NJ, we have more ABs in one small area. One other thing he complained was that GOA, OCA, AOCA have ABs in the same territory, not sure but he mentioned about something it used to be one AB in one territory long ago.

I understand your concern. It is a real issue that there are 5 canonical Orthodox bishops in Pittsburgh. The Antiochians did not make matters any better when they recently put Bishop Thomas over Pittsburgh. To me this is a uncanonical mess which really needs cleaned up, and will take time and humility to fix.

It's different in Greek Tradition Churches. The order of ranking for the Russians is:

Bishop - Archbishop - Metropolitan

I believe the Greek ranking is:

Bishop - Metropolitan - Archbishop

I also think that once a Greek Bishop receives a full diocese they make him a Metropolitan, but I don't know this for sure.

As far as I'm aware there is no difference in ranking of hierarchy, regardless of jurisdiction. It is Bishop, Archbishop, Metropolitan (whose ecclesiastical/liturgical rank is archbishop), and Patriarch.
