I am a relatively new Christian, but recently have been having doubts about what I found. There are moments I encounter that I feel full, without a doubt of anything in the world, no doubt about my faith. But there are other moments that leave me questioning....why am I so confident about what I have found? It does not make sense that I have found sense to the very meaning of life....if so, why do I still struggle? I have no doubt in the divinity of Jesus Christ, yet I still struggle with my faith towards him. I do not mean this to be a testimony of my own struggle, because I imagine it to be a struggle of many others. If we had the definate answer, wouldn't eveything be clear? I find it hard to truly express what I mean, but maybe you can shed some light? Thank you very much!

Jesus is the only answer to sin and death. I also have had moments of doubt, just keep in New Testament and remembering all God has done and is doing, He is good and He gives us Hope in these evil times. Just remember God and keep studying Him and seeking Him. there is no answer to sin and death than Jesus, He is the only way past death. He is the sacrifice to a Holy God and offers Holy Spirit to help us even now. continue in bible too, I love bible on walkmen tapes.

To be human is to have doubts. We are quite imperfect. I am strong in my faith but I still have doubts in my weak moments. However, I never have doubts when I take them to God who is very strong and never wavers. If you are having doubts, then you are turning away from God. Turn back to Him and the doubts will be gone.

It's human nature to go up and down in all sorts of things. If you have had a long term relationship you kmow that your feelings for the person go up and down. Why should your relationship with God be different? As time goes on you will learn to depend more on what you know to be true, and less on whether or not you FEEL it to be true. God Bless.

Never forget you are human being and when Satan is going to try harder to discourage you and create doubts and all you have to do is command him to leave in the name of Jesus Christ and pray that the Lord send an army of angels to protect you and He will and find averse in the Bible that you like and I've found John 3;16 , 17 helps me a lot

testing strengthens our faith. satan attacks us three ways; he accuses us, he tempts us, and he brings doubt. when we are victorious through temptation and doubt our faith sets (becomes hard). God does not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear.

Mark 9:24b is a great boon to me when I have feelings like this.
Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

The Answer to everything is... 47 :P

In all seriousness, the devil is always out there causing doubt. Every christian experiences or has experienced doubt at some time, and I do not believe anyone who says otherwise. Pray about it, go to church and have fellowship with other christians, I find that in person is better than online, but that is neither here nor there. We will be praying for you.

I have to agree - get yourself involved in a good Christian doctrinal church - fellowship with other believers and HAVE ONE ON ONE relationships w/ them.

Seek the Lord directly, build that personal relationship w/ Him.
Debate & getting into the high tech. literary stuff as a brand new christian imo is DANGEROUS.
NOT becuz there isnt' enough evidence to support our Bible & GOd, BUT BECUZ THERE'S SO MUCH FALSITY out there everywhere.

Jesus told us in the last days that many would be decieved by false teachers who would abound, AND IT'S HERE. I've never seen so much false teaching in all my life as I do today; even from those claiming to be Christians INSIDE. :swoon: :help:
Dangerous times.

As Paul said, KEEP TO THE TRADITION AND WHAT YOU WERE TAUGHT FIRST - not this new stuff that filters in later.
The ORIGINAL is true, not the new.

Jesus has a blessing for all of us today. In periods of doubt, remember what the Lord said to Thomas after his resurrection- "Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29

Elsbeth speaks the truth. Have you ever noticed that small children cry at the drop of a hat? As one gets older, their emotions "even out" a bit more due to experience with what is "really bad" and "not so bad" and greater emotional strength. Being a Christian is no different. Hang in there and realize it is part of the growing process. If you trust in God, try to mature, and let him remake you into what He wants you to be, the "bad times" will because fewer and not as bad. But we all still have our "moments". Welcome to the club. :)

If you let Him, He will someday make you into something stronger and better than you ever dreamed. So recognize temparary emotions for what there are: temporary. Put you head down and keep moving forward. Someday, none of us will have to fight anymore.

Good luck.

When we are saved, Christ is planted in us as a seed. He has not yet grown and blossomed to His fullness within us. As we go on in our walk with Him, and pray, read the Bible and fellowship with other Christians and give our entire beings to Him, He will continue to grow and mature within us.
As this process goes on, we come to know Him more and more.
It is a process of growth. Babies do not leap out of the womb full grown and ready to eat a steak dinner and run a marathon.
A new believer is also similarly lacking in maturity and growth.
While we cannot force growth, we can hinder it.
We need to keep our hearts open to the Lord and feed on His word so that He can grow in us.
I pray that you will continue to turn your heart to the Lord and that He will strengthen and comfort you and be your peace.:prayer:
