It's easy to forget the many things that we can be thankful for and take full opportunity of when we see the world decaying around us as rapidly as it has been lately. However, my New Year's resolutions are going to be based on a different approach than I've ever tried before.

As you read this short list, think of how many places in the world that don't get to do these things for fear of death or persecution.

My New Year's Resolution is to be THANKFUL IN ALL THINGS!

Thankful...
1. That I have the opportunity to go to God's Word!
2. That I have the opportunity to go to God's House!
3. That I have the opportunity to give to others what God has given me!
4. That I the opportunity to share Jesus Christ with the godless!
5. That I have the opportunity to sing praises to the Lord, whenever and wherever, glorifying His Holy name!
6. That I have the opportunity to teach my beautiful children, that He gave to me, about Him!
7. That I have the opportunity to serve God!

How can a year be as fulfilling as these resolutions would make it? Thank you, Jesus, for coming into my life and opening my eyes... for opening my mind and my heart to you and the things of you... for living in me and fellowshipping with my spirit. Lord, you are wonderful and I dedicate this year, and the rest to follow to you and your kingdom! Praised be your wonderful name!

May God Bless You All in 2007!

Here's a general question about resolutions.

I've always thought resolutions are what you want to improve about yourself, your personality, behavior, attitude, etc.

But the other day, my friend said her resolution was to finally buy a new house. I have NEVER heard anyone make a New Year's resolution for aquiring possessions, but my friend said, why not? Resolutions are to improve yourself and your life, and a new house would greatly make her life better.

So what are people's idea of what New Year resolutions should be? Can they be for anything? Or should they be used to improve your character? Or maybe if resolutions are to reflect the kind of person you are, you can tell what's really in people's hearts.

I could go on and on about things I would like to do in the new year, and that I resolve to do. However, given my age (69 in Feb) I think I better restrict the list.

I resolve to put more concentration and effort into completing my bible study course, and using many of the lessons learned in re-starting my online ministry.
