They just like coming to my door. This is the second time this year. In the States, are they coming to your door on Christmas and Easter or is this a Guam thing only? The first thing I ask the suspected cultists is if they believe in the Trinity. They said nope, and along with their proferred demonic literature, I knew who they be. Thank God for Holy Ghost discernment!

I don't think I've ever been visited by the Jehovah's Witnesses. Personally I wish they'd come around now and then, since it would be a great opportunity to share the Gospel with them. And besides that, I'm always up for a religious conversation with anyone.

My friend is a Jehovah's Witness...her parents used to go door to door and she just lives in the next street to me...they also like to stand at the subway entrance and hand out their magazines...I don't know...they kinda scare me cuz they believe in their 'religion' quite strongly and probably want to convert a baby Christian like me...

I've considered inviting them in and trying to witness to them, but I also remember 2 John 10-11. I suppose in order to not be in violation of Scripture, I'd have to be the one to do the talking and let them know up front that I find their teachings soul damning. There'd have to be an understanding that they're in my house for me to witness to them, not vice versa. I doubt they'd agree to that, but if they did, well, I may have them in.

My mom has witnessed to JW's and LDS's for years. They seemed to target our house or something when I was growing up! I remember as a kid she would spend hours in conversation with them. She had a very strict rule however that they could not enter our home. If they wanted to talk that was just fine, but it would all be done outside, regardless of the weather. Sometimes it was cold and miserable out, but that did not matter. Armed with a coat and boots, and the Word, out she's go!

I'll ask the Lord to keep you safe, and to help you grow in His wisdom, knowledge and power. God bless you, friend! :prayer:

I take their literature when it is offered and use it as fire starter. That way they have less supplies to poison minds with. ;)

We talk outside here too. I am just learning how to witness to them though. I'd really like to get stronger in this respect. I figure they are giving me a great opportunity to win them over to Jesus! LOL.... there is NO WAY they can sway me in their direction, so I figure the good fight is on. Now I need to learn more about reaching them. There hard nuts to crack.
I like this site:

They have some other cult sites listed in their links section.

Simple stumper: ask them if they eat meat. If they do, all their phobia about blood transfusions are lies. Even in Kosher meat, you can never get all the blood out, but at minimum their meat should be Kosher.

2 John 10-11 is referring to actively supporting false teachers and their ministries, not merely inviting them in for tea and conversation.
If you would feel comfortable sharing the Gospel with them, then there's nothing in scripture to prevent you from inviting them in, although I'd probably go easy on the "soul damning" stuff.

To me, this would like asking a Mormon if he's wearing his holy underwear.
Sure, there are some dubious teachings involved, but it's only going to be a distraction to the topic at hand.
The first and foremost focus when dealing with a JW should always be the person and atoning work of Christ.
Either of those things, if the JW belief is compared to the scriptural teaching should be enough to drive the point home.
Once you get past that, you'll want to ask them if they know who the 144,000 are, if they're one of the 144,000 and what happens if they're not.
But really? I wouldn't pursue things like the blood prohibitions.

I've had my fun with the JWs. When I proved with their own Bible that Jesus is Jehovah, one said to the other, "let's leave now." Haven't seen them around since. ^_^

Mormons can be easy to convert. As one who nearly became a Mormon, I possess a fairly comprehensive knowledge of their history, doctrines, and so forth. Moreover, Mormons freely associate with non-Mormons and are willing to discuss their religion. Jehovah's Witnesses, on the other hand, will literally run away if their beliefs are scrutinized.

I've always thought Jehovah's Witnesses are EXTREMELY hard to convert. They convert a lot of Christians sadly...hmmm I need to study more about non-Christian religion...
