Reviewing the rules for this thread, it comes as a surprise that to be considered a Fundy I must endeavor to preach the Gospel to all creatures.

I am therefore not a fundy. I just can't see me talking to a dog seriously on this matter :D

Merry Christmas, yall!

Well, that's a very speciest thing to say. Are you suggesting that dogs don't have a spiritual side to them. Wait'll I tell your buddies at PETA and HSUSA. Just for that remark, a Happy Winter Chriskwanznukkah to you and your "significant other".:P

I remember as a kid baptizing my dog. No really I did it. I was convinced that baptism was absolutely necessary in every case for salvation and that I wanted my dog in heaven with me. Funny thing was at the time I wasn't even baptized.

I think maybe it's just an issue of semantics. I really don't think anyone here is foolish enough to believe that you have to preach to your dog to be a fundy. But if you are concerned, you can certainly discuss it with the mods and maybe get it changed. I'm sure you'll have the support of everyone here.

Hmm. Do you suppose his baptism was valid then? Full immersion or garden hose?

If I remember correctly it was pouring with a coffe cup in the swimming pool.
At that point I think the only baptism I had ever seen was a Presbyterian one. (although I am sure they probably didn't use a coffe cup)

I suppose that would have gone over better than what I was guessing at first - a bath.

I believe it. I once saw an IFB condemning my dog for not reading the KJV.

animals do not have souls. animles will most probably be in heaven though since it says in the bible that lions and lambs will be at peace.

and i do not know wether some of these organisations that you mentioned are very christian. they never question that the killing of an animle is wrong-but they think that aborting a child(which potentially will have a soul) is alright.

I think the comment you are responding to was a jest.
