Thought I'd bump this up. *YAWN* Well good morning everyone :D
I'm back home from college now... still finding it odd though and a little stressful. My Mom bought me a little red Christmas tree with red lights for my room, so that helps with the holiday spirit a bit. And I have my two sweet cats to play with... even if one's a little mean to me.
Now all I have to worry about is getting my grades back for the semester :D FUN!

Ooo a goodie tray. I've been baking cookies and making candy too. It's fun to give to others.
Tell me how your house is decorated. I love to hear about that stuff. If you do.... I'll tell you about mine. ;)
Oh and just in case you've forgotten, you're a blessing Gweny.

It's always stressful to go through a change, even the smallest ones can sometimes cause stress. Try to relax and enjoy your time home.

Awww that was so nice of your mom. She sounds like a lovely person. Is it just you and here or are there more in your family?
And I have my two sweet cats to play with... even if one's a little mean to me.

We're blessed... my parents are still married and I have an older Sister who lives with us. So we have a full house. But it'll be getting even fuller when Christmas comes since we'll be having it here. It should be interesting since we invite Russian family friends and Sean, my boyfriend, will be there... well he doesn't understand a single word of Russian so he'll be bored.
And yes my Mom is a lovely person, even if we annoy one another sometimes (I guess that's natural). She was kind enough to bake a ton of cookies, pumpkin bread, and strudel the evening before I got home, so I have plenty to snack on.
*hmm* I think the cat picture you saw of me (was it from the staff movie?) was actually Sean's 23-pounder cat named Max. Sweetest little angel though and he LOVES attention. We got along so great that he would sit on the guestroom bed where I slept wondering where I was after I left.
Here's my baby, Pandalion or Pandi for short:
http://xfe.xanga.com/acfa615ac733271752814/b48283986.jpg
Our outside cat is her brother and we named him Nimbus. He is soooo sweet and sooo adorable for ferial cat it's amazing. Today when I brought him lunch I petted him for awhile while having him on my lap (he doesn't like being inside... too scary for him) and he has this fluffy thick gray coat. I sometimes wish Pandi would be that sweet. lol
Other than that... the tree is up and most of the place is decorated... I need to bug my Mom about putting the Nativity together and then starts the major cleaning *sigh*. Oh wells... it's for a good cause.

I hear ya on the cleaning...hubby started pulling down wallpaper already...then decided since he'd pulled a little too deep he was going to mud and sand the wall and primer it...
can ya guess....
yup I have sheet rock dust *everywhere* again...time to spend my day off cleaning again instead of candy making and baking....
I dunno how I'm gonna pull this off htis year...oy!

Okay...I just have to vent...I'm so angry I just really want to throttle someone...
My daughter (the Marine who's home for the holidays...and working in recruiter's assistance) stopped at Starbuck's on her way to work this morning to get coffee...
So she's all spiffy in her Blues, ribbons and medals all shiny shoes perfect no IP's etc...waiting in line to order her coffee when a guy who just got his coffee stops and throws it all over her!!!! right in the middle of Starbuck's!!!!!!
He then proceeded to tell her about what a baby killing, bed hopping(you can guess the word he really used) psychopath she was and that women didn't belong in teh military. (as a SSgt...that part ticks me off on top heh)
She handled it with grace and bearing and simply said "You're Welcome" and turned to order her coffee. The employees at Starbuck's gave her her coffee for free and also got her clean damp towels to try and get the worst off her Blues...she went to the car and got her bag and used their restroom to change into civvies and then dropped her uniform off at the dry cleaners...
I know most people think the uniforms are issued...and while that's partly true...the cost of those uniforms and cleaning comes out of hte pitiful amount the gov't calls "fair and equitable pay scale" (don't get me started there!)
Anyhow...I guess i just needed to vent...cause I'm really upset that someone would 1-talk to my daughter like that and 2-throw coffee on a fellow Marine... :(

WOW!!!
We haven't been chatting here for a while! Shame on us!
Okay about my "free" weekend that turned out to be not so "free".
My 81 yr old gramma decided to go outside iwthout her cane and really messed herself up..
in the fall she managed to dislodge one of the leads to her pacemaker...and broke her arm...not to mention all the bruises and scrapes...
She's had the surgery to reset the pacemaker...which acutally took them longer than putting it in to begin with...
her arm's been set and she's okay...sore and feeling insecure but she's okay.
She's going to stay with us until she's a bit better...which is more than fine with me...mom works even longer hours than I do...
anyhow...so after spending most of my weekend at the hospital we brought her home last night...of course with me being gone all weekend the guest room didn't even have sheets let alone the comforter and shams laundered...(I leave 'em on teh bed, but when I know we're having guests, I wash them so they're fresh and clean and not dusty...the room hadn't been used since my dad visited over New Years...so...it needed it...
Anyhow, finally got her all settled in adn comfortable, moved Bug's TV and VCR in there...kidnapped the DVD player from my Marine's room and got her all hooked up with remotes...(which still turns out to be me or bug now and again ;))
I'm praising G-d that's she's going to be alright, and He brought her through what could have been a truly nasty set of injuries to ouchies. I only pray He'll restore some of her self confidence as well...

Oh Gweny. I'm so glad she'll be ok too, but also very glad that you are there to care for her. That's got to be a frightening situation for an elderly person and for the family who loves them. Praying for you and your family. :prayer:
We had a relaxing Sunday evening. I made roast beef for dinner with all of the yummies that go with it (carrots, potato's, gravy, onions), and brownies for dessert. I felt like doing something nice for Jeremiah. He loves to have those homey meals that I grew up with as a kid, and I like to give them to him when I can. During the week, it's usually whatever I can find to heat in the microwave, and a lot of salads, veggies, fruit. On the weekend, I try to make a nice big dinner. This one should last us through Tuesday and for sandwiches too. Mmm!
What did everyone else do this weekend and what plans do you have for the week?

I have been babysitting.I`m lucky that this kid are so nice even if he is only 3 years old.Last time I was in the hospital I got very strong cough medication. These make me so tired so I can`t nearly have the eyes open.I tried to cut down little with the medicine but then I started to cough again. So that shall be nice when this treatment are over. The treatment are for fortnight.

This week is March break for school kids and we have my step-daughter Nadia with us until Wednesday. It's been nice having her over for an extended amount of time. Tomorrow we're having lunch with friends..should be fun.
My hubby is going out of town this weekend with a friend to watch a hockey game...I will be all alone with my kids...but I will be spending the day Saturday with my mom...should be fun.

Speaking of time, children, and sleep, my son just got up to use the bathroom. It's 12:37 a.m. This may not seem remarkable until I tell you the rest. He has an internal alarm clock that tells him to wake up every night at 12:35 and go to the bathroom. So without fail, every single night, I hear him rustle around in his room, come out and head down the hall to the bathroom. Then on his way back to bed he peeks out and says "goodnight mom." :)
non-Parents may not realize how cute that is. ^_^ But it is! Trust me. :D

I'm a little late in getting them out. I've been waiting for everyone to sign in on that March Blessings Topic. People are being awfully slow about it. Anyway I plan to give everyone their blessings, and then you will get yours for being mod of the month too, at the same time.
You all could help me out here by PMing your fellow angels and telling them to get their hiney's in here, and sign up for blessings. :D You'll find a list of the angels, here: http://www.christianforums.com/t4784980-cf-angel-application-information-staff-list.html
So anybody that offers to help me out with that (by PMing the other angels and sending them to that March Blessings Topic) will get an extra 100 blessings in their pocket for whatever they like. ;)

I was too! Sanjaya is a sweet young man. He's only 17 and he seems so sensitive. He cries easily. I think some people vote for him because they don't want to see his feelings get hurt. I think other people vote for him just to be mean. There's a website (can't think of the name of it) that is telling people to vote for the worst person on american idol, so that the producers have to spend money on the one that doesn't sing the best. What's everyone got planned for this week?
Did you have a good weekend?
My plans for this week :) are doctor/nurse appointments.
Today (Monday) I was again to do some x-ray for the left lung.I had the honour to have the x-ray doctor in the room.He told they other what kind of picture he wanted. This examine was little special what my lung doctor told me.They don`t do this x-ray so often.I get some fluid in my veins to see how the spot in the lung react when the lung get the fluid The took picture after for example 30 second then 1 minutes etc.
Now I have a hard time to sleep because I have started again to cough:sigh: After this complaining shall I try to go to bed again:)
Today (Tuesday) shall I go to my diabetes nurse to check my weight and bloodsuger.I suppose my bloodsuger are not so good because I can`t sleep for the moment.Usually when you are stressed or something speical happen it goes up.I can give you a example:) Last time I did a big examine for the lungs the bloodsuger went up to 8,5 usually now days I have around 5
On thursday some friends shall come over to me.I hope we get a nice time then.

What's everyone got planned for this week?
Did you have a good weekend?
Are you having better days Adiya??? I hope so.
Plans for the week: Tonight I took my son Tyler to the children's program at church called Kids Alive. I do the story time for grades 1-3. We had a lot of fun! :D
Tomorrow night I have a meeting at church concerning one of our services.
Wednesday my friend is going to watch my kids for the whole morning and I'm going to do some shopping!
Thursday: I'm probably hanging out with a friend so our kids can play together.
And Friday is major cleaning day in my home.
What are you up to?
I'm not off until Wednesday...but there was a big blowout sale at old time pottery, adn I found some fabric that will look awesoem on my dining room chairs...so I'm redoing the seats on them on my days off...
adn ummm there's a sale at Kohl's on girls clothing, and Bug's outgrown a lot so I figure I'll take her to get some spring tops :)
That's about it...other than graphics playing of course :D
It's so great that you can sew! For some reason my husband wants me to learn but I don't know if I can.
I'm sure those chairs are going to look great!
I watched my sister's 4 kids while her and husband went away. I am EXHAUSTED!

Hey people, I'm still kinda new to this whole forum, but is there a thread just to ask questions? 'Cause I came up with a couple questions and was wondering if there's a special thread just for that.
On top of that...
I'm so sleepy.

Well I've been going on this other forum, but it's not a Christian one.
They have a thread about God. I've been trying to explain to atheists how God exists.
I've known them (only from online) for almost a year, and they're... I think about 13, so young still, but would love for them to become a Christian.
Am I wasting my time arguing with them about how God exists? Or do you think I should keep trying? I've prayed and asked God if what I'm doing is right, and I'm hoping you guys will be the answer God gives me. But I've also prayed that whatever I say to them one day, will get through to them and they will understand how God exists.

I had an interesting time this weekend allow me to share :P
I went out in teh early afternoon and started my lawn mower...now mind you it was given to us by a friend and hubby repaired it... so anyhow..I start it up, and head off to mow the lawn...I get about 3 passes done on the backyard and the silly thing catches on fire...
It wouldn't shut off so...off I run for the garage and one of the fire extinguishers...run back and put out the flames...then I hear my neighbor calling out between her chuckles asking if I'm okay...
So...I killed the afternoon chatting with her and having iced tea instead...
And G-d took care of our need for a new lawn mower...hubby's dad sent him a gift card to home depot for his b'day....so it nearly covered all of the cost of a new one :)
Blessings all around :D

How about some random sad chatter? If you all could say a prayer tonight for Scorcher505 (Sean), he's my dear Sweetheart. After spending a year out in Jersey by himself (to be closer to me) life just got way too hard and he's moving back with his family to MI. Tonight he has to drive 13+ hours back home. Please pray for safe travels and for our relationship.
I'm kinda in a bad mood cause of it, but hopefully he'll call soon and cheer me up :)

I have good news chatter...and bad news chatter...and just news chatter...
okay good news: My oldest daughter is coming home for a 96 hour weekend over memorial day...so if I'm absent...you'll know why! I get to spend time with my adult daughter (so weird her being an adult...I still picture my *baby* in my head)
okay bad news: I'm in the middle of a divorce (don't faint, I didn't tell but a few people that it was coming) and yes in a way I think G-d's working on something amazing...weird but true...
Just news: 8 more days of school for my youngest...she's already whining about being bored this summer...so I have a surprise for her...she's going to my dad's for 2 weeks of 4 wheeling, fishing, camping and all those outdoors things she loves to do...which is good...cause my daddy could pass for Daniel Boone!
Me, I'm going on vacation soon, and having a bit of surgery done...if all goes well, I'll be walking without a cane in 5 short months...for the first time in years :D
G-d's good :D

Okay Angels, I'm going to be outies this afternoon and all of tomorrow.
If something comes up, and you need immediate help, contact me on MSN or CF's IRC (link is on the control bars at the top of the page), I will leave my computer on, and both will say "away" but I will answer if it's important.
My daughter's home on leave and her plane lands in the morning. We're having a huge BBQ with all the family here (yes...even my ex-in-laws) so everyone gets a chance to see her and visit with her while she's home. :)
Love y'all
Anyhow...I'll be back Sunday night when I get to work unless truly needed before then.
