Almighty God, our heavenly Father, Source of life and Fountain of all good things, I bless thy Holy Name, and offer to thee most hearty thanks for having delivered me from my sickness and restored me to health. Grant me thy continuing grace, I pray thee, that I may keep my good resolutions and correct the errors of my past life, and improve in virtue, and live a new life in dutiful fear of thee, doing thy will in all things, and devoting this new life which thou hast given me to thy service: that thus living for thee, I may be found ready when it pleaseth thee to call me to thee, O heavenly Father, to whom with thine Only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and thine all-holy and Life-giving Spirit, is due all honor, praise, glory, and thanksgiving: now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

For those how don't remember, last month, I had a couple of invasive diagnostic procedures and a ton of biopsies throughout the digestive system. The doctor was expecting to find alot of damaged tissue. Today, I saw him again and all the biopsy results were in. Everything came back normal. Not only that, but after having some genetic testing that wasn't available back when I was originally diagnosed with celiac, he says I do not have it. The new diagnosis is a relatively benign condition that can be treated with meds and diet.

Wonderful news! I hope the diet isn't as restrictive as the rice and cooked veggies one.

That's how amazing this is. He was expecting a completely different scenario. Before the procedures, he explained how we would proceed "once we confirm what I expect", which drugs I would need to start, how likely a surgical solution would be. I was looking at loosing sections of my digestive track. Based on my medical history and current symptoms, he was expected to see masses of diseased tissue. There was NONE, not just minimal, but none!
As for diet, I'll stay on the rice and cooked veggies for a couple weeks to give the new meds time to work, then I will be able to work some foods back into my diet. In the end, it will be a healthy diet, very similar to an Asian diet. Lots of steamed white rice, with small amounts of very low fat meats and well cooked veggies. The fresh veggies are still out and probably won't even come back, though.
