Your daddy is the Holy Spirit?
And you answered my point.
God the Father,
God the Son,
God the Holy Ghost.
Jesus called God "Abba Father" which equals our "Daddy".
I'm not sure what your point is quizzler. . .but it sounds like your poking fun/judging us. Please correct me if I'm hearing you wrong.
In the mean time excuse me while I get back to the party http://anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/party.gif

Yes quizzler, there is no debating here except among those who are ofp Penticostal/Charasmatic persuasion. According to the posted rules that have not yet been re-posted (due to crash) non-charasmatics/Penticostals may ask questions but they may not debate with us.
You're welcome to join us in the celebration though. We'll be celebrating in heaven together. . .might as well get use to it here.http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/natur014.gif

Hello and Good Morning All You Nice People:
I see some have been busy this morning. That's good. For me, 10 hours sleep worked charms. Today I must complete my "Honey-Do" List, starting with getting the pool pump working. It is just a waist deep round pool, not a big in-ground.
Quaffer, I was hoping to bunk at SnuP's place. Rats, now I'll just have to sleep on the dirty ole ground. Sucks. That's O.K. I've got in-laws there.
Hollypop, try to schedule the trip. Mullet the Fish, not the hair-style.
I can make the trip, not sure yet about my wife. She's a nurse, so her vacation days must be the same as her Doctor's, who schedules according to his plans.
Jenn: we'll try to work out some plan to get you there. The mountains are beautiful but it doesn't have the Beaches nor Gulf Water as does the 'Emeral Coast". And Yes, The water is a cyristal clear light emeral color.
Ps 37:3-11
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. KJV
That just came to me as I was posting, and is heavy upon my heart, just sharing. The Lord Is Good. AMEN

OK. . .well while I'm waiting for Ken to get back with the chain saw and crowbar. . . I'll tell a story
Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better at using the computer. They had been going at it for days, and God was tired of hearing all the bickering. Finally, God said, "Cool it. I am going to set up a test which will take two hours and it will judge who does the better job."
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.
They did spreadsheets.
They wrote reports.
They sent faxes.
They sent e-mails.
They sent out e-mails with attachments.
They downloaded.
They did some genealogy reports.
They made cards.
They did every known job.
But, ten minutes before the time was up, lightning
suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, the
rain poured, and of course, the electricity went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.
Jesus just sighed.
The electricity finally flickered back on, and each of
them restarted their computers.
Satan started searching frantically screaming,
"It's gone! It's all gone! I lost everything when the power went out!"
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all
his files from the past two hours.
Satan observed this and became even more irate. "Wait! He cheated! How did he do it??!!"

Here are 23 ways to anoy people, if you already don't
1) At lunch time, sit in your parked car and point a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.
2) Page yourself over the intercom. (Don't disguise your voice)
3) Insist your email address be xena-goddess-of-fire@companyname.com

Naw!!! I already annoy people. . .religious people.
I use to work with a religious organization and it seemed to annoy most around me that I was "happy". I'm not a bouncy person mind you, although at the moment I'm still waiting for someone to help me out of this BOX http://anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/swbox77.gif. . . but my joy, and trust, and love for Jesus was just toooooo much for them.
I was experienceing some major physical and financial issues in my life and I was toooooo happy. According to them I was supposed to be fretting and running around trying to force things to happen. . I mean that's what God gave me a brain for. . . so they said. http://anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/mgsay_lol.gif
But anyway, a couple of those things do sound kinda fun. . . I'm just tooo shy. http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/blinking1.gif

Now listen carefully. Turn the flashlight on so you can see. When you can see, look into the mirror to see what is in there. Shut your eyes and remember what you saw. Now take that saw and cut the stick of wood in half. Now that the sticks in in two halves, all must realize that two halves make a whole. Now that you have a (w)hole climb through it.

Hi Quaffer: I just got in from the garden, I sparkle and glisten. If you don't mind, neither do I.
Rained the last two days, yesterday yielding 5 inches, yes the creeks rose, had flash flood warnings. Today the sun came out with full force, the humidity so high one could almost swim in the air. But in my experience, each day one awakes, has the makings of a glorious day.
I think I'll go start another batch of Dill Pickles.
Be back shortly

It talks about how God knows our future, what we would do or say before it came to be. I guess it just helps me think of how incredible God's love is. If he knew what we would do before we would do it and still want to send Jesus to die for our sins so we can fellowship with him. He must really love us!

Yeah. I like that part as well. Like when people are upset about their looks or personality (being too shy for example) I tell them that. God made you the way you are. He doesn't mess up. Who you are, the way God made you, will help you do whatever it is God calls you to do in life. And for that we should be thankful!

Our Lord and God makes no junk.
Eph 2:9-10
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
workmanship: poiema (poy'-ay-mah); a product, i.e. art, fabric, construction.
I personally like the idea of fabric which includes the word "tapestry", which to me means He is involved with each stitch and color arrangement until it becomes a beautiful display of His.
And then again, I like the idea of art which includes the idea of "poetry".
WE are God's Poetry In Motion.
Blessed Be the Name of Our Lord Jesus.

LOL never mind my picture I was just checking it out to see if I did it right.
What I like most is the descripion it gives of God.
He searches and knows us. . . every little bit.
He understands our thoughts. . .that can be scary. . .so I just go ahead and admit them. . .since He knows them anyway.
He's carefully planned every step we are to take.
He's everywhere. . .He's with me in pain, joy, play, etc.
Sometimes I think. . .why do You care so much God? He could wipe us all out and start over again but He has chosen instead to change us and mold us and conform us to His image. I am in AWE.
I STAND, I STAND IN AWE OF YOU,
I STAND, I STAND IN AWE OF YOU, http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/luxlove.gif

But then you realize that a quick trip to the bathroom will fix you right up and since you always seem to recognize the presence of God in the bathroom you get a double blessing and then your ready for somemore nachos. It will be nice when we don't have to wake up in the world any more, but can just stay in the glory.

Hello old friend and sister in Christ.
I used to teach an adults Bible Study in a pentacostal church... this as back in the 70s. I taught one particular session on praise and worship. How to praise and worship is something that has to be learned. If we praise and worship only when we feel the anointing or when we feel good, then we are missing something very important. When the scripture says to praise the Lord... it is not a suggestion. It is a command. We are to praise Him when we feel like it, and when we do not. When we are sad, we are to say to our soul "Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefits!"
Other than that, I think there are instances when we go to a service with the full intention of praising and worship... but everytime we open our mouths, something else in us comes out. Sometimes He wants us to interceed or mourn for the lost, for those in pain, for those who cannot pray for themselves.

Yes, praising God is definately something we sometimes have to "command" ourselves to do. I know that I have to do it frequently.
Even during times of mourning and interceeding I thank God for His faithfullness to hear and heed the call and He's right there to provide the comfort needed. He's ready and waiting even before I place the call. He has the answer on it's way even before I ask.
What an awesome and wonder working God we serve. He is worthy of all glory and honer. He's full of wisdom and grace and mercy. Willing to forgive and cleanses us from all that corrupts. http://www.christianforums.com/images/smilies/bow.gif

I WANT TO JOIN THE PARTY, REMEMBER THIS QUAFFER
woop. . . woop
Well we're dancin' on the devils head
When he hears us he trembles with dread
He's merely a fallen angel
His kingdom we're out to mangle
We're filled with Holy Ghost power
All demons run and they cower
When we dance on the devils head
He get's tied to his firey bed
So dance away, dance away, learn to dance one and all
When he's flat on the ground he can't make you fall
He's nothin to be afraid of, he's just a puny little runt
All he can do is make faces and grunt
Jesus in us has more power you see
And being clothed in His glory causes devils to flee
So we can dance, 'cause we serve a mighty, and loving God,
He's given us power, on the devil to trod
Through Him we can walk, and move, and live and stand
Bein' with Jesus we eat good fruit off the land
So on the head of the devil we should stomp
Get happy in Jesus and have a Holy Ghost romp.
hahahahahaahahahahahaha Hallelujah to God be the Glory......

Here's a religious political joke:
The Pope is visiting DC and President Bush takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac... sailing on the presidential yacht, the Sequoia.
They're admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water. Secret service guys start to launch a boat, but Bush waves them off, saying "Wait, wait. I'll take care of this.
Don't worry." Bush then steps off the yacht onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over and picks it up, then walks back to the yacht and climbs aboard. He hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.
The next morning the topic of conversation among Democrats on the Hill, the New York Times, Hollywood celebrities, and in France and Germany is:

Here's a funny take on Footprints
Butt Prints In the Sand
One night I had a dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore,
But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?
Those prints are large and round and neat,
But Lord, they are too big for feet."
"My child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait.
You disobeyed, you would not grow,
So you were tired and fed up,
And there I dropped you on your butt.
Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand
Or leave their butt print in the sand."

"I've heard all the stories
I've seen all the signs
Witnessed all the glory
Tasted all that's fine
Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing You, Lord
Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing You, Lord
I see all the people
Wasting all their time
Building up their riches
For a life that's fine
I find myself just living for today
'Cause I don't know what
Tomorrow's gonna bring
So no matter if I rise or fall
I'll never be alone, oh no"

A blind man was waiting at the corner for the light to change, when his seeing eye dog ran into the road and layed down.
A man across the street saw the predicament of the blind man, and rushed across the street to help him across the road.
The blind man stopped in the middle of the road, and pulled a cookie out of his pocket, and proceeded to call the dogs name.
The man said, "why are you calling the dog to give him a cookie for being disobediant"?
The blind man said, "I need to find out where his head is, so I can kick him in the butt", http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_2_23.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001).

you are right in that God loves it when people praise his name but what im saying is that if we are not listening and watching for his leading at the same time then the Holy Spirit is going to move and want to go on to something else and then we are going to be pretty much a loud, clamoring cymbal. i mean im sure you guys know about the verse that we should do things in decency and in order because God is a God of order? im sure you have read it before.

i never said that i was against being radical for Jesus and giving it all you have when praising and worshipping him. i just was stating when the Holy Spirit wants to do something else we should move with him. otherwise its like we are being disobedient children. its like when a child wants to dance an play but the parent wants to feed them food but they dont want to cuz they are "having too much fun."
so again there is nothing wrong with being radical for Jesus but we need to be balanced and in tune with the Holy Spirit because there is a time, a season, and a place for everything but we should do all according to the leading of the Holy Spirit. and how do we know when the Holy Spirit wants to move or be still? the same way we get to know God and his heart, by spending time with him and digging deeper into his presence.
