I'm sure most of you are aware of, if not experienced with, the CCC. I had my first experience with CCC while in Basic Training in the military.

For some time now, God has been calling me into some sort of ministry. I have been ignoring Him, but have answered the phone so to speak. I'm just awaiting further instruction from Him!

One of the areas that seem interesting to me and would utilize my gifts is one of the many opportunities CCC has available. I am also very open to a staff position in a local church, but missionary work and getting souls saved for Him at that level is so much more exciting! Unfortunately, a lot of, if not most of, the opportunities require your spouse to be called, too. They accept you as a "team" if you're married. My wife isn't there. She doesn't feel a call. She supports me 100%, but is not feeling a call on herself.

So, that leaves me back at square 1. I have enrolled in bible college and will have my degree completed in about 15 months (I have extensive college education, just not in the concentration of Religion or Biblical Studies), then another year for the M.A., but in the meantime, there are other opportunities to serve. I have decided to continue on with school and if an opportunity presents itself before I finish, great, if it is after, then that is fine, too.

CCC provides a lot of training and education as well. They accept staff at all levels of education and experience. The desire and call to ministry is the most important thing to them.

I guess there is not so much a question here as more of a sharing post. Unless anyone knows of other missionary ministries such as CCC that are here in the U.S.? I'm not opposed to overseas ventures, but I'm being led to a full-time ministry service and feel more led to be here in the U.S. to serve the many needs we have here at home.

God Bless!

Do you feel called to work with college students?

The Navigators and InterVarsity also have staff positions if you do.

My brother has served with the Navigators and my cousin is on staff with CCC. They are great organizations
