I just got this from my elders:
Dear Friends and Family,
We grieve the sudden death of my dear mother Sarah. We are so grateful for your prasyers at this time. Presently we are delayed in London due to a general strike in Israel with no flights coming in or out. Please pray for our safe and timely return home.
My precious mom had a stroke on Monday morning and fell hitting her head severely on the edge of the bath and laid down on the floor unconscious for many hours until my sister in law, Margalit, head nurse of Sharei Tzedek hospital, came to visit and saw her on floor.
After the CT scan the doctors said there is nothing they could do. She would not survive any surgery. She passed away at 2:25 pm Israel time. The funeral was a few hours later at 8:00 pm. My family is sitting Shivah at my mother's house in Jerusalem. I hope to join them as soon as I can get a flight out.
She was diligent, full of life and a great example for all of us. She was a very wise woman that never wasted her time on small talk, she was busy being productive and serving others. It is hard to talk about her in the past tense. I have great memories from her that I will treasure for the rest of my life. It seems that she didn't want to bother us with any of her problems and just slipped away from us without giving us any time. Since my father's passing away on March 4th this year she was not the same.
