My DD and her Cheer team won 1st place in the Regional Championships last week end, this is their 2nd win....Next is Nationals, and we never thought we had much of a chance even if we made it that far, but the Judges think we do...They gave the girls an almost perfect score, the highest score ever awarded, and 8 points higher than the next (2nd place) team...(most teams score with in a 10th or so of a point from each other)!

So pray for them :pray: this is a little girls dream come true!:wave:

Hi I'm back! DD and her squad had an flawless performance, at nationals this week, We were all in tears at how perfect they were and expected them to come in 4th or 5th place , a privileged place to have in such an elite competition....and the judges did put them in 4th place with zero deductions :clap:....UNTILL one of the Judges viewed a saftey violation made by our girls going down on their knees, both at the same time...The Violation is called a "Knee Drop" and 7 of our girls "supposedly" did this and our coaches are "supposedly" responsible for catching this "safety violation" and changing the choreography....BUT our girls never "dropped" to their knees they just kneeled down,:doh: so they were being judged incorrectly and an appeal is in works.:thumbsup:...

Dozens of teams were dropped from the Medal ranks:swoon: because of this same "violation" and many girls were in tears at the end of the day.....

BUT our girls never imajined they would get that far and knew their hard work paid in getting them to the highest ranking Cheer competion in the USA and they ALMOST got 4th place WOW!!!!!!!!!!:tutu:
They left happy, proud, and very satisfied in the whole experience....

Plus a full week at DisneyWorld with thousands of cheerleaders was soooooooo much fun

I came home with a cold though, the first sickness in a whole year yuck...pray for me
