Would anyone like to recommend some good books on just about any Baptist doctrine?

Yep. Systematic Theology (http://www.amazon.com/Systematic-Theology-Wayne-Grudem/dp/0310286700/sr=8-1/qid=1164614108/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-8343789-3067240?ie=UTF8&s=books) by Wayne Grudem. Amazon has a good price on it at the moment. It also should be quite sufficient for a good while.

Wayne's book is pretty good and I own it and have used it for classes but I think the doctrine is more sound in The Moody Handbook Of Theology by Paul Enns.

Why don't you try googling or yahooing
And put in Baptist books in your search
That might help you. Hope that works.

Christian Doctrine by Millard Erison is also a good one.
I have that, and I like him, but he doesnt strike me as being able to extract conclusions as good as Grudem even though I think his discussions are good. Plus he tends to get into all the more complex ideas in theology especially with regard to philosophy. No too mention he is an egalitarian. Grudem is an excellent primer to Erickson and I would dare say Francis Turretin if you want to get into some good theology

It really depends on what viewpoint you want. From tradional Protestant views I suggest going to the Reformed area and seek out the Reformed reading material.
And if you care, you can look here for on-line books with tradional Baptist doctrine here:
http://www.monergism.com/thethreshold/books/onlinebooks.html
And for a very good list of Systematic Theology articles and books, here is a good one:
http://www.monergism.com/systematic.html
BTW, in BBAS 64's thread here "Get it while it is cheap.. Great Baptist work (http://www.christianforums.com/t4279232-get-it-while-it-is-cheap-great-baptist-work.html)" we are talking about a Systematic Theology book entitles "Abstract Of Systematic Theology" by James Petigru Boyce. This man was co-founder, I believe, of Southern Baptist Seminary along with John L. Dagg when it was in Spartanburg S.C. This was before it was moved to Tennessee. A very good book this is.

I had this book along with "The Moody Handbook of Theology" when I took Systematic Theology. I thought it was good, but I in reality, would have much rather had a greater "in depth" book to use like "Abstract of Systematic Theology," or "Systematic Theology" by Charles Hodge.

If we would have had the time to dedicate to study, I reaaly would have liked to go into John Gill's "Body of Practical Divinity" and "Body of Doctrinal Divinity." I love these two, and use them quite a lot.
God Bless
