Hello, Sabrina5140! Welcome to CF - and while I'm not in Chicago - I hope that someone is able to help you out soon! :)

I think a bit more information might be helpful. Chicago is a huge city with thousands of churches. I've been to several great churches there.

What type of church are you looking for?

How about Willow Creek? They are non-denominational and have many programs for peoples there. Just type in "Willow Creek Community Church" in your search engine or Google!

I'm an incomming student at MBI. I am looking for a church as well. If Erwin Lutzer preaches like he writes then I would say Moody Bible Church is your best bet. If you want to really deep I wouldn't go to Willow Creek. Please don't be offended if you go there, I'm just saying they're pretty "fluffy".

I've heard also that Holy Trinity is a really good Church for Reformed theology. What are you looking for exactly?
(sorry for the double post)

Well, you have to look at the perspective that Willow Creek is more orientated to the unchurched and those seeking Truth. However, MBC is more into discipleship and equipping the saints to do ministry. Neither is bad, but each fulfills a role in the body of Christ.

Check out Park Community Church at http://www.parkcommunitychurch.org/ They're doing a lot of great things in the city that you can get involved with and the pastor is a good, humble man. :)
