The season is upon us! This year, my family is trying to stick to the reason for the season and not so much gifts and presents. Some of this has to do with financial restraints, but also because the reason for the season is to celebrate the birth of our Lord.

This is easier said than done most times. Especially with three small kids at home. We have explained to them that this year there will not be as many presents and we are concentrating on Jesus' birth more. They understand and are excited about it, too. But, we still want to give them a few gifts.

Be safe out there Friday if you decide to go into that madness. But, remember while you're out there that the reason for Christmas is not to fatten the wallets of the department stores, but to celebrate the birth of Jesus!

God Bless!

This is the thought that we go into the season with each year. And you are right, it is easier said than done! Especially with little ones around. I think it is okay to do some gifts if we just keep the focus where it should be. Jesus, the reason for the season, PTL!

Sadly if you ask me, Christmas has become
Too commercialist these days and that
We need to really focus on why we celebrate
Really the REAL & TRUE meaning of the season
Birth and Savior of our Lord Jesus Christ!
