I just wanted to say how much I thirst to be in the company of more believers in my new Christian life. There is something so gratifying about openly discussing God, forgiveness, Jesus, love, gaining strength from above, and all the other promises and stories found in the Bible.

I pray to Jesus that I meet more believers that have the same hunger I feel burning within me. I have way too many nonpracticing friends and it gets me down alot and even unfortunately leads me to sin time and time again. I close my eyes sometimes and feel the burning need to surround myself with people who will help me build my faith and learn what it means to love and follow God.

Please Lord Jesus, shine your light on me and lead me to the believers. I thirst and hunger for this. I want the fellowship so I can grow stronger than ever. Thank you for being my Saviour and forgiving me of the sins I commit. Without this forgiveness, I'd surely have my ticket to hell. THANK YOU LORD! ALL GLORY GOES TO YOU!

And it need not change. I've been among Christians young and old for decades now and I'm constantly looking for more fellowship even now. I pray that the church will care for you so that you are constantly looking for more fellowship and that we each will be humbled and motivated by your desire as well.

It's great to hear that you're find people to share your life events and that God is work through your life. As you become more experienced with how you deal with people, I hope to see you out there becoming available to other new christians! Be a soldier for Christ always and forever like you were meant to be! May God bless you in your new walk with him.

Amen to that Alan! I am new here too and I feel the same way you do. I am having the same problems with the nonactive friends. They might belive in God, but they do not practice any type of worship or religion and they are always trying to get me to go places and do things I feel is wrong. And my husband is in that crowd as well. But I am praying hard for him to start going to church with me.

But I am making new friends at church. Problem is, my husband still wants to hang out with the old friends. I am still learning and adjusting to this new life. I love it! But its not always easy.
