Filipinista Bishop Alberto Ramento, an outspoken critic of the Philippine government, was found murdered last month. This didn't get much coverage in the US, and I only just came across this today.

I read someplace that true freedom of speech means that I can call up my local sheriff, insult him, and not be murdered in my sleep. Guess they don't quite have that in the Philippines.
