CF is a rather remarkable website. The Lord's taken me to I think it's now 5 different forums for ministry, and this is certainly the best I've been on to date, has the most sincere Christians I've ever struck, and is so seriously and well run.

Haha, I can't be an angel yet as I've only been here a month and a bit, and lack other qualifications. Howerver, I'm probably a sort of 'unofficial' angel cos I've done many of the things the wonderful angels do from the day I arrived (He previously had me on MySpace ministering mostly to atheists). For example I'm in full-time ministry here, 7 days a week, up to 10 hours daily, despite serious ill-health. That's God!

(I reckon my post number should be a lot more than it is cos I write posts to help Christians and unbelievers that are 3 to 10 times the average size, as well as many PM's. lol)

Hello again you all, I want to tell you all I have been busy a lot, wanted to stop in. Something weird happened to me today, I was talking to my mom, and started to try and say another word, but I could only get one letter, the first F , then could not form the rest of the word. Then I went back to normal, it happend a few more times. Not as bad, and I went through a word stutter. So far, though, it hasnt happened anymore. I am on a medicine that may have that side effect, I don't know. But I think I need prayer that it won't come back!

We continue to wait for full healing from the Lord according to His promise to me after praying earnestly for this for many years. Our ill-health is so serious by now that this cannot be too far away!

Hi Gabby, I'm so happy to see you here. I'm sorry that you're having some problems. You mentioned being on medication, and I wanted to make a gentle suggestion. First, talk to your doctor about the side effects you're experiencing. If you are taking neuroleptic drugs or dopamine suppressants (call your pharmacist to ask, if you don't know), you may be experiencing the beginning stages of something called dyskinesia. I don't wish to give you any medical advice here, as that would not be appropriate, but it would be a good idea for you to discuss your symptoms with a doctor. Being that this is the weekend, you may want to discuss this with your pharmacist/pharmacy (medication dispensing business), and perhaps they would have a suggestion for you.

To have a pet is to feed the pet.It cost about 12 blessings each day (I think) You can create a pet and then it cost around 700 blessings but if you go to the adopt center can you get a cheaper one.
It depends what you mean with sporadically if you visit every third day or so it`s ok.I think if you not feed you pet in one week then is dead.You can set your pet in the day care too if you are away more.

Hi Dee, if you're not a regular poster, you may not want to get a CF Pet because they do need to be fed daily. However, if you visit at least every other day, you may do ok with a pet. Your pet could certainly survive if you are visiting every other day. :) We also have some CF Pet Rescuers and CF Pet Angels that work on CF to feed pets for folks who cannot be on as often. You could always let them know that your pet may need extra help now and then. The CF Pet Angels are not the same as the CF Angels though, so you'd want to go to the CF Pet Forum to talk to them.


To answer your question #1 about the "Jobs".

Jobs are something you can sign up for to collect blessings every week. Depending on which job you qualify for (they are based on the number of posts you have), you can earn a specific amount of blessings every week. As your posts increase, you'll be able to move up in the jobs, which will also make the number of blessings you'll receive increase. The jobs are based on your amount of posting on CF, but we hope, as you do increase your posting, you are also welcoming new members and reaching out to others on CF. :hug:

Well, the pets are just one of the many enjoyable activities that Christian Forums offers it's posters. We can purchase a pet with blessings and then we also feed and care for it with blessings. It's not necessary to do this, but many of our posters enjoy it, especially the young ones. I suppose it gives them some minor idea of how it is to have the responsibility for a child. If they don't care for their CF Pet then it becomes ill and dies. It's just a simple program, but it makes for an interesting study in human behavior (from my perspective), and so I have enjoyed watching some of our posters with their CF Pets. Many become attached, and would actually mourn at the loss of their CF Pet. Interesting isn't it? A lesson in caring is in there somewhere I suppose. :)

Ah, my wonderful CF Angel who's sort of become the 'source of all wisdom' for me! *hehe*. That's got me straight about Pets. Great concept, love it!

After a number of days some of them are no longer available using the URL I originally had them on. Yet others ARE still available (I wish be able to reuse them from time to time).

That's odd :(...It may be connected to the database crashes we've had lately.

Might I suggest using a remote free site for graphics instead? The CF Angels use www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) for our graphic needs.

Life continues v. hard for us with our CFIDS. But it's starting to look like God may be starting to heal us very slowly, according to His promise to me that He would heal us completely. And those few who pray for us regularly are a great help on this we believe. Thankyou for your care!

The most striking thing is that I've had a poor ole heart missing beats, and misbehaving for over 20 years now, and always slowly getting worse. It could even had just stopped at any time I've been told! Now all of a sudden it's all totally okay!! NO symptoms whatsoever!!! We can't see any possible reason for that - except for our wonderful God!!!

And there are 3 or 4 other changes in my body that could be healing too. For example, my energy level is down below 7% of that of a healthy person. And if I use any of that up via something I do, then it takes such a long time to get back what I've used. This is normal for all CFIDS sufferers.

BUT... instead of this deteriorating like everything has been for decades, my energy is now coming back more quickly than it was, say, 6 months ago. This is quite amazing!

My Beloved has 1 or 2 things that seem to be improving also. So, Adiya, after years and years and years of waiting, I am finally letting myself get just a little bit excited that maybe God is working in us at long last. WOW!!!

Well it is good news to know that the Lord is healing you. That's awesome. I'm so thankful for it. I have prayed for you both and will continue to believe that G-d will provide you both with total healing.

Regarding your heart missing beats, have you ever had your thyroid looked at? I don't want to give you medical advice here because that's not allowed, but if you haven't had your thyroid checked, you might consider asking your doctor about that. I had thyroid and lymphatic cancer, and my heart used to have irregular beats (I was on meds for it) for 10+ years. After the cancer was removed, my heart never gave me any more problems. My thyroid had been slowly dying over that span of time but I didn't know it, and when I had the tumors and everything removed, I was put on thyroid medication 3 weeks later, and wow... no more skipping heart beats. It's awesome. I thought I'd share that with you, just in case. I do believe that our Heavenly Father is providing you with healing though, and I thank Him for it.

With way over 25 things wrong with the average CFIDS sufferer, and we are higher still cos we have it really bad after nearly a lifetime with it, we've had just about every test in the book, take pills like they're going out of fashion, and our wonderful doc keeps a close eye on everything. Thanks for the info. though, as I found your experience most intriguing. So glad to hear that things settled for you! Wow!

It's been a huge transition. Moving is quite a chore! :) The biggest problem is that I save too many things, and then in the end, I just have to sort through them and throw most of them away (or donate them to a charity). I have learned a lesson. I'm not going to hold on to THINGS so much. We can't take them with us when we leave this earth so there is no point in holding on to them while we're here either. LOL Know what I mean?

I posted in one of your other threads. I am having technical issues. I am very new to this site. One of the members gave me 50 blessings. That was enough to create a signature. I tried to paste an image in my signature line. It just took my blessings and now said I don't have enough. There is no signature displayed.

All I really want to do with my profile is make a larger avatar and create a matching sig bar. I am not really interested in making a CF character.

I'm not angel, but I'll try to help. As for the blessings, I'll send 'em to you now, I'm afraid you can't just copy and paste an image, you need to host it online, like at photobucket, or tinypic. take the code they give you that has some link in the middle and paste it in your sig.

if it's for graphics and such, www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) has free online image storage accounts...as for size, I know you can only have 5 graphics....that's about all I know :)

You know, i'm not even sure what i am replying to, but i have to start somewhere. I'm trying to talk to the angel person. Got a lot of stuff to talk about and i need a sypathetic ear to listen to all my whining. So here goes. I'm just a little confused what this whole website is all about. I was looking for a place where i can get some Christian support for my mental health issues, yet i haven't read anything yet where anybody talks about anything serious. My Christian walk is fizziling out. I left my last church very bitter and confused. I feel i was let down by the very people who God brought into my life to support me in my struggle with all my issues. I've been beating my my head against the the church wall for 20 years trying to fit in and be a productive member of the church. But i just can't do it anymore. Because as a child i was horribly abused sexually, never nurtured or loved much, gang raped by a bunch of men when i was a teenager and a whole lot more,you can imagine i have some serious trust issues. Basically i trust pratically no one, especially God. Why should i, my life has been and is a living hell. Oh i've been through all kinds of counseling both Chrsitian and secular. The secular actually helped me the most. I've been through deliverance sessions including Neil Andersons stuff. I have done it all. I am actually much better than i used to be even though i probably don't sound like it. God has been faithfull, but still i suffer in isolation and am horribly alone right now. Part of that problem is my work schedule. I work nights mostly including Sat. night so i can't even go to church on Sunday or Sat. night. All i'm really looking for is just to make some friends who understand where i'm coming from. I thought this was a Christian mental health/recovery website. I see no eveidence of it being that way. I just need some support. I can't find any support groups in my area in the church or out of it. The only place for me to go was the Internet. I don't know what else to say. I've probably said to much already. Please don't respond with Christian platitudes like trust Jesus or hang in there God is faithful. I'm sick to death of those kinds of things. Either this is the right place for me or it isn't. I apologise for the tone of this message but i am just so desperate right now for some kind of help. Whatever.:o

You are not alone, and this is certainly the place where you can find help and support. But take it slowly. This forum is very big, and parts of it can be - I am very sorry to say it - almost vicious at times. This is not because anyone here intends to hurt anyone, but maybe it is best explained that wounded people sometimes hit back and wound others.

In terms of needing somewhere to talk seriously, there are areas of recovery/support to help you through the kinds of things you mentioned. But again, I would not hurry there.

First of all, you need to feel safe. Second, you need to connect with others who understand who you are, and what has happened. And third, you need to reach out in turn to help others; that may not happen for months, years or longer. You say you have tried to help out at your church. Maybe (and this is only maybe) you tried to do this before you had gone through parts one and two, and were simply not ready. It is like a newborn baby trying to cook Sunday lunch. Nice thought, and well intentioned, but not what that child is there for.

Apologies for the imagery - I am not trying to infantalise you, just to say that sometimes churches are there to give to us, not for us to give anything to them. I am in this position at present. I have given more than enough for far too long, and have decided that for the moment the church is there to provide me with companionship and communion, and not to take from me, because I have nothing more to give.

My own personal view - others may well differ - is to keep as far away from deliverance as you can for the time being. You need to be in robust mental health to cope with them, and I for one would not be in that place. I myself have ptsd, and have been unwell for ten years, not working for seven. If you look at my posts you will see that I do not often talk about this, but neither am I ashamed of it, and anyone is free to ask about it any time.

I would say, think about what you want from this place. Do you really want support through your situation, or do you want friends to hang out with on a perhaps more gentle level to start with. Or perhaps both. Basically, you get out of anything what you are willing to put into it. I tend to hang around the liberal areas, with the occasional venture into the non-Christian area. But there are also forums dealing with recovery, and I know they can be very good.

Meanwhile, if you need anything else you can PM if you wish, and I will do what I can. My own situation is not the same as yours, but there are enough similarities to make connection possible.

You know, i'm not even sure what i am replying to, but i have to start somewhere. I'm trying to talk to the angel person. Got a lot of stuff to talk about and i need a sypathetic ear to listen to all my whining. So here goes. I'm just a little confused what this whole website is all about. I was looking for a place where i can get some Christian support for my mental health issues, yet i haven't read anything yet where anybody talks about anything serious. My Christian walk is fizziling out. I left my last church very bitter and confused. I feel i was let down by the very people who God brought into my life to support me in my struggle with all my issues. I've been beating my my head against the the church wall for 20 years trying to fit in and be a productive member of the church. But i just can't do it anymore. Because as a child i was horribly abused sexually, never nurtured or loved much, gang raped by a bunch of men when i was a teenager and a whole lot more,you can imagine i have some serious trust issues. Basically i trust pratically no one, especially God. Why should i, my life has been and is a living hell. Oh i've been through all kinds of counseling both Chrsitian and secular. The secular actually helped me the most. I've been through deliverance sessions including Neil Andersons stuff. I have done it all. I am actually much better than i used to be even though i probably don't sound like it. God has been faithfull, but still i suffer in isolation and am horribly alone right now. Part of that problem is my work schedule. I work nights mostly including Sat. night so i can't even go to church on Sunday or Sat. night. All i'm really looking for is just to make some friends who understand where i'm coming from. I thought this was a Christian mental health/recovery website. I see no eveidence of it being that way. I just need some support. I can't find any support groups in my area in the church or out of it. The only place for me to go was the Internet. I don't know what else to say. I've probably said to much already. Please don't respond with Christian platitudes like trust Jesus or hang in there God is faithful. I'm sick to death of those kinds of things. Either this is the right place for me or it isn't. I apologise for the tone of this message but i am just so desperate right now for some kind of help. Whatever.:o

I read your message. I have trust issues too though nothing like that's ever happened to me. I admire your strength. Alot of ppl who went through stuff like that have killed themselves. I just want to leave this word with you. I hope it helps. I was going to put a few days ago on prayer list my dad's double first cousin had a brain steam stroke, my other cousin on dad's side had another heart attack 8 blockages, two blood clots. So he had a second open heart surgery, then right after he coded. he's having ups and downs, but I am so sad to say that my cousin with the brain steam stroke died 6:00 am my time yesterday morning : Please pray for the family and my cousin with heart trouble and his family !

I'm no newbie, but I could use the touch of angels, CF and otherwise.

I'm in a depression that causes me to be hypersensitive about EVERYTHING, and I had a problem here on CF that one mod (who turns out to be an angel too, I didn't know) helped me with already...

Anyway, with this depression and other health issues (arthritis and diabetes) going on, I can't sleep even with taking Tylenol PM *AND* a muscle relaxant for the pain I'm in. I have PTSD from severe childhood abuse, and lately I'm having a problem with what I call "ghost voices." Not the way a schizophrenic hears voices, but in the sense that what has been said to me so often earlier in my life, comes back to haunt me now. When problems crop up like what happened here on CF, my ghost voices have a field day telling me how nobody cares about me, and all kinds of stuff I'd really rather not give power to by repeating. I'm sorry, this post is getting too long, but I really could use some angels. Thank you all for being here.

Good Morning everyone, is this our new Angel Chat thread or the one that pops up from time to time??
Either way...this will do as a place to ask questions or just chat in general with the Angels about the changes at CF.
