I've been wanting to go to a Quaker meeting for a long time but don't know how to get to one because there aren't any around here. There are a few groups scattered across the country, but none near me. Are there Quakers on here?
The Quakers are the only group that seems compatible with my beliefs because I am a firm believer in Christians not participating in any forms of violence, including government coercion. I get so sick of going to supposedly Chrstian churches hearing about how we need to put all prostitutes, drug users, and gamblers behind bars. It's sinners pointing their fingers at sinners for being sinners, and I don't feel comfortable with it because I'm a sinner, too.
Where can I find a church that believes in loving one's enemies, turning the other cheek, and not throwing stones at sinners? After all, you can't really claim to believe in Jesus if you don't believe the commandment of loving your neighbor as yourself.
