KJV Translators

Good Day,

It has been said in a paper I read that none of the translator were chuch historians, only greek translators.

I am looking for bio's for the translators, I find it hard to belive that none of them were historians.

I think that was a wise idea if it is true...it would definitely limit bias entering into the translation...
