Like Believer4God asked you a question about the guestbook here would it be okay if someone came by and answered it for you?

I think if you go to their hompage even if they haven't posted yet I think you can still write in it:)

No, if someone hasn't signed their guestbook yet and the member has not posted yet, then I do not see the option in the homepage/profile that I can sign their guestbook.

That is what I thought Adiya, but I wasn't sure. Thank you.
They could possibly have the option off not sure b/c there is a person who doesn't have any post but that have a guestbook entry. I wondered how the first person posted in their book?

I'm having a little trouble, (In my own opinion), helping out in the Chatbox. (I've analyzed this and I'm trying harder than I had in the past.)

I'm asking that any of you who have the ability to show up for a few minutes, will help me to be as kind and loving to our old friends and especially to our newbie friends, as possible. (I really want to do my part, but The Chatbox is a tough place some days.)

Well, I am not Adiya, but I want to officially welcome you to CF!! So glad you have joined. There are over a thousand members on this site many of whom will have something in common with you to discuss. You just have to get the hang of this site. I have a way to write in someone’s guestbook without them posting on the site and without someone writing in it first.

An example

BrandonJ

Has not posted before and currently doesn’t have any guestbook entries

Here is his homepage link:

To view someone guestbook this is standard link:

http://www.christianforums.com/guestbook.php?do=viewuser&u=

The only thing that is different is the 6 numbers that go after &u=

Everyone has there own six digits that is used for both their homepage and guestbook

If I type his 6 digits in his homepage link (152049) at the end of &u= like this

http://www.christianforums.com/guestbook.php?do=viewuser&u=152049

It will take you to his guestbook even though no one else has posted in his guestbook and he hasn’t made a post on the site yet.

I find that it helps to use Microsoft word to help copy and past the link without re-tying it.

Adiya.. a couple things,
First..for all Angels..When you go to a guestbook and it says no posts/notes in it..if you look right above and to the left of where it says that...in small letters it says Post New Reply (or something to that effect). It lets you do the first post.

Next...if YOU PM a newbie or sign their guestbook...they can reply..they just can't make a new PM to anyone.
This allows you to PM back and forth with them to answer any questions they might have..especially when it comes to giving Blessings..this way the amount you give isn't stated in an open post for others to read if they thank you back for "the amount".

Ok, Adiya hon..I'm here on and off and am welcoming and giving Blessings. I'm just on sporadically.

FGH, thank you for the note sweetie. I did know those things, but it's always nice to be reminded. How about making a topic on the forum here called "helpful hints". You can encourage others to post their own helpful hints in it, so they won't think it's just your topic. Then you can post this info that you shared with me. :) Maybe we'll all learn some things from one another.

It would make more sense to remove it, dear. To leave it on, with the title "off duty" isn't conducive to the cause of the CF Angel's, which is to reach out to those in need, and be welcoming.

You can welcome them at any time, Rut. If they've been here 4 months and they still haven't posted a lot, you can welcome them. Remember that you can also PM members who aren't new, and who just need a friend. :)

We won't be having Friendship Teams, etc., on the angels anymore. You probably figured that out already but I didn't want to leave t his unanswered.
