I figured we really needed one of these.

I'd first like to give a big hearty welcome to you all. I'm very thrilled and optimistic about the Welcome Angels and what we can and will do to help others. Wonderful progress is being made, thanks to the efforts of our amazing Chief Angel Adiya. God be with us all as we strive to bring a smile to the faces of the new members of this forum, and to all those who may need a friendly ear or encouragement.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you on a deeper level. I believe that, as Welcome Angels, we should strive to develop friendships amongst ourselves for these next 4 months and beyond, and really push to be the best at what we're doing.

May it be blessed! :)

Oh, and please, just call me Blake.

Good Morning to all the Angels, and congrats on being chosen..and for applying. I remember when I was a newbie and was totally lost figuring things out with no help.
This is a wonderful asset to CF

Good morning!

Just got the Support Angels thread updated and edited. Whew. I'd like to second the congratulations to everyone who was chosen, and the statement that it's a huge asset to CF. That's very true. It took me a couple of weeks at least to get the swing of things here on CF, but with the Angels, that may just change. :)

Thank you all for devoting your time and efforts to this ministry.

Great thread!
So How is everyone today?
We are expecting Severe weather today, so I have been on the lookout. Nothing so far but a little thunder and some rain. Seems all of it is south of us. Thank God. The weather doesn't really bother me, but God did give me the common sense to get when the gettin is good. LOL!

I'm doing pretty good, how are you?

15th November 2006, 11:08 PM
Good evening Angels!! When Adiya first suggested this she got back alot of wonderful feedback from the staff and I'm blessed to be part of the team. Since I get to work alot with the newbies in the New Member Intros forum I know how much help they need. And if we remember back to when we all joined up and started figuring out CF, we can remember how tough it was.

I think it's a wonderful idea to start by having a strong fellowship with one another and I pray it will help inspire other Christians to reach out to those who need love and to be uplifting as well.

Can't wait to see what comes of this ministry... :)

Good evening Angels...we lost power for a few hours last night, and today I've spent uch time sleeping. For those who don;t know, on Monday I had a magor surgery and will be a little sporadic the first week or so. My meds make me sleep with no pain, which is a good thing :-)
I did fill out the intro area. And I like the new game Adiya had me start...I'll start another one as well.

I just wanted to take a few moments and share something with all of you. I was chatting in the cb earlier and a friend of mine that I met a year ago told us all he had something to say.........As I sat and read he started talking about a couple of his friends giving him advice on a situation when he first signed up to CF. (Me being one of them.) He then proceeded to talk about how scared to post my pic when I first came here for I didn' t realize the beauty that I had on the inside and figured I had very little on the outside. He then proceeded to say that he was looking at my pic last night and noticed that I had grown so radiant on the inside and it was showing so much on the outside. He could tell that God had made a big change in my life. I sat and cried as I kept reading his words for it was such a blessing to have someone notice the change that God made in me. He then said that seeing the change God made in me, he's looking forward to seeing what God can do for him.
I think that it's wonderful to do God's work and to make a difference in someone's life. Even if just one person, it makes it all worth it.
I must say that working as a Recovery Angel I've noticed the chance to help even more people who are struggling with the things that I have/am struggling with. I mostly stayed in just one Forum, but looking over the others, I realized that I have been there.
So, I'm thankful that I have been through my struggles in life for I can turn it all around and help others who are going through the same things.
I am also very thankful to be a part of the CF Welcoming Angels and I hope to help make a difference in someone's life.

Angels, you are all wonderful and it's a blessing to work with you all!
:hug:'s and :angel::kiss:es!!

Reading a good book is like taking a mini
vacation. Your attention is absorbed and for a
while you forget about everyday challenges.

A good book naturally gives you a moment to
relax and forget. It takes you to another
land where your imagination has no limits.

Think of a book that you have been meaning to
read and pick it up today. It may be a beloved
classic, an old favorite, a biography or something
from the best sellers list. Next, pour yourself a cup
of your favorite tea, or a cup of coffee, find a comfortable
couch curl up and let it take you away,
*********************

You know what needs to be done and you know you are capable of doing it. Now is the time to get moving. Though there are distractions all around, and plenty of excuses to be found for waiting until later, putting it off will only make it more difficult. Though there are problems and risks, and lots of things that can go wrong, the biggest risk is failing to do what needs to be done.

Though it can be a bit uncomfortable to step forward into new and unknown territory, it would be far more painful to live with the regret of not having done so. The opportunity to live, to take action, to make things happen, to make a difference is here today in this very moment.
Take hold of that opportunity and take hold of the enormous value it offers. Today, with your thoughts and your actions, with your discipline and commitment, you can add positive value to your life and your world that will stay with you always. There is one day in your life that can make all the difference in the world. And that day is today, because it's the one that is here and now for you to live.
