It's everywhere and it's even right here on Christian Forums! Heretics! They've flooded the place! Perhaps you never see it in certains forums like this one, but I'm really saddened by some of the things my fellow "brothers and sisters" are saying in other forums/threads and also in real life.
The Apostate Church sure is going strong these days. But you know what? Jesus said that this would eventually happen. We may yet be getting ever closer to the Second Coming.

There are a lot of us who see the same thing. Fall back on scripture and try and help them find their way out of darkness. Don't let them get away with fairy tale doctrine without attempting to show them the way to truth.
There is soooo much wrong teaching going on and such meanness out there. It's is very very sad.
I'm glad I'm not alone in this observation. I was beginning to wonder if it was just me.
God Bless.

So very true and it is no wonder with all the false preachers out there today, preaching you can live anyway you please, that as long as you have said a little formula prayer, like found on a tract, you are saved! They don't stress that you are wasting your time saying that prayer, if it is not from the heart, with true repentance, and being sick of sin. It is sad how many calling themselves Christian, do not even carry their "sword" to church!
If Christians weren't so LAZY and Apathetic, that they don't even read and study the bible for themselves, they would be able to recognize these wolves in sheeps clothing!
Matt. 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Then on the other hand are those who flat will not give up the world and their sin.
2Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

It is not altogether because of the laziness of Christians.
Paul barely left Corinth after years of instruction and the place fell to wolves within months.
This is God's world, and when it seems the visible Church is going to Hell in a handbasket, I shrug, smile and tell God "I'm glad I aint running this show."

The more I think about our command to separate from the world, the more I start to think of today's church as part of that world. It's very sad.

I think it's sad when people judge other people's words as being "un-Christian" and refer to their faith as weak.

I agree with the 1st 5 post, and no yo uarent alone.
I was loosely aquainted with the church much of my life, and was resistant to the scriptures at first, thinking as many liberals do that the scriptures were corrupted by men.
The Lord Dealt with me, and I was corrected.
I guess I should not be so disheartened that so many have fallen into apostacy, in that it is prophecized.
But it does bring tears to my eyes that they will not listen because of the hardness of their hearts.
I think I am going to have to stop posting in threads that have an obvious apostate bend, because it is so heart wrenching to see these people so blind to the truth, that they excuse every manner of sin as acceptable.
I will pray for them, that maby some might be saved.
Im sorry it just has gotten to me how it feels like I am alone, and not acomplishing anything with them, I guess I need to be more paitent.

No one here is pointing any fingers at any particular individuals. We're just saying that we sense a strong apostasy in the general sense of the word. ;)

A few years ago I went to a men's conference in Springfield, Mo. One of the professors at the college we were at told us that he was told by some of the hotel managers in the area that they loved it when a young preachers conference was in progress because their X-rated movie rentals always went up. What a testimony!
And then we wonder why so many churches are being preached mambi-pambi messages instead of what sin is and how we should live unyoked to the world. It's scary to realize that those preachers are the ones leading our churches today, if indeed they stayed in the ministry. I've been witness to two church scandals that resulted in the loss of their preacher, but it was not the preacher that committed the sin. Watch out for your preachers. Pray for them and let them know how much they are appreciated.

Of whom did Christ speak most ill? The Pharisees, the Saducees and the Scribes: all professional religious people.

Very good points ITT, I have notice a spike in apostasy lately, too.
It does sadden me, I don't know who's to blame, this was predicted in the Bible. Praying for them is probably the best thing to do.
God Bless.
