I go to New Life Church. The church that Pastor Ted Haggard leads. I dont know if you heard but there are accusations about him having sex with a man. I've known him for a long time and I cant belive it. So please pray!!!! for him

I did read a couple of articles about this ealier. My initial thoughts are that it appears to me to be politically motivated and the accuser refused to show the evidence he claimed to have.

I've met Ted Haggard, and though his personality and mine don't get along, I believe he is a well-intending man and could not have homosexual sex.

It just seems out of character for him to even consider such a thing.

I have read and heard about what is going on. I feel as though it is a political issue as well. I can only pray that it is! There is a lot of that going on right now.

This was what my grandfather was accused of when he was in politics. It was really sad for him and ruined his career.

From what I've heard about the tapes, and the fact that the tapes have not been released, it's sketchy whether they even exist, much less if it's Haggard's voice on them.

Also, consider this: Haggard's voice is Podcasted on New Life's website. Anyone with some clever editing skills could create fake tapes to accuse Haggard.

Furthermore, consider the fact that his secretaries, his assistants, his colleagues, and a good chunk of New Life's large staff would have to be involved in this (from making appointments to handling the funds to arranging the schedules to...you get the idea).

I personally know some members of the staff at New Life, and though--as I said--Ted's personality gets on my nerves at times, I don't think he's the kind of person to do this, or even consider it.

Hopefully the Lord's truth will be revealed, and we should all pray to that end.

Why is everyone focused on the "gay sex" part?

If anything, I'd think the fact that He cheated on his wife, hurt his wife, hurt his children, comitted adultery, probably causing his wife an incredibly amount of pain, which probably caused her to sin, etc. etc. would be a lot more of something to put in the headlines.

I mean, the cheating on his wife would be worst than "gay sex" because think of how she must feel. If she believes it's true, she must be in pain.

Although no details are given, the news article I read says that he admitted to some indiscretion and guilt, just not all of the accusations.

As I stated in an other post I pray that if he did do any of things he is accussed of that he will stand in front of God, stand infront if his church, and stand before his family and beg for forgiveness. If he did not then he should immediately begin his duties at his church again.

Either way I will pray for him and for those who know him. While he needs your support do not condone his actions if he is found to have done these things.

Evangelical leader says he bought meth but 'never used it'

Dose anyone know how long meth stays in the system ? or if it deposits in the cells like the hair ?

I know some drugs will deposit them selfs into hair, so you can check for a history of usage, is this true for meth ?

I think that his family and his church family need it, too...maybe even moreso.

As for Haggard, I just pray that he 'comes clean' so that his families can truly begin to heal.
