I know that you guys mean well, but when someone overprices a pet to attempt to con people into handing them a nice profit, it's not a good idea to adopt the pet.

The reason you don't see more overpriced pets is because the CFPR took a stance not to adopt them. People lost their blessings when these pets were lost on kill night.

Everytime someone pays an exorbitant amount for a pet, it encourages greedy folks to put even more pets up for ridiculous prices. It's bad enough that we get 2 or 3 every month. It would be really unfortunate if these folks see their scam start to work and go at it wholesale.

That is exactly right. We don't want the price to start going up again. please DO NOT adopt pets with a high price.....

Great advice and wisdom from Redneck Crow and Ladyday 95. We must remember this is a non-profit animal rescue org. Sometimes we have to make the hard decisions to sacrifice one to save many and yes I know we don't want to sacrifice one but God did. God bless all of you for your love and protection of the animals, God's creation. bfly

And what site is this again? Christian? Sad. :(

Yup. It's sad, but Christians are human, just like anyone else.

I won't pay someone 10,000 bucks to save a puppy that he's going to otherwise put to sleep, and for a very good reason. If I do, next week, he'll have a dozen puppies that he's going to put to sleep because I've taught him that it pays to be unscrupulous and I've sent a dozen more puppies to be killed.

Sometimes you have to let folks learn the hard way. On this forum all they are losing is pixels--these pets aren't real. Better that they learn in the virtual world than harm other people or harm real animals to find out that taking advantage of other's kindness doesn't pay.
