The Servant of God, James!!!

James Lewis Thomas was born by Cesarean at 2:25pm Oct. 18, 2006. He weighed 6 lbs, 2 oz and was 18 inches long. Mother and baby are both doing fine and he has been nursing as well as he can this early and everything is looking great. Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to remember us.

Father came down last night to lead Compline and teach a catechumen class and he prayed for mother after delivery. Here are a couple of early pictures.

He is the sweetest thing I've ever seen in my life. They brought him in for feeding this morning about 3am and after he was finished with one side, I held him while mommy went to the bathroom. He's a very alert and curious little fellow and likes to look around. I'm totally and completely taken with him. I think mommy is pretty fond of him as well. :)

Yes, we just got him home today. My wife's parents are spending the night then my mom will be staying tomorrow night.

He is sore from his circumcision and when he is crying, it tears my heart out and I have to struggle not to cry myself. I'll be so glad when he gets healed up.

It only takes a week or two and he'll be good as new. That newborn cry is so sweet, isn't it? Sam especially had a sweet cry that just tore at and melted Mommy's heart. Not so much anymore. He announces his hunger or general dissatisfaction with life with a loud bellowing SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHHHHHHHH!!!
