this article says that the Carpatho Church has recognized two Greek Catholic martyrs as saints. what do ya'll think of that?

Personally, this makes me deeply uncomfortable. However, I'll withhold final judgment until I know more about the situation.

How does canonization work in the Church? I've always just sort of accepted when the Synod would announce a new saint....

So how did these guys get canonized?

You must remember that the ACROD returned to Orthodox in the 1930's. Should they forget the holy men and women who were among them in the 19th century, especially when they were following their Orthodox roots?
