Since we both can agree on YEC, and you flamed me saying that you actually studied the subject, and assumed I didn't study it, I want you to tell me about why you believe in YEC, your refutations of evolutionism, etc..

if you want....

Richard, you are just wasting your time with this one. It is extremely doubtful that Jacob is even a Christian, much less a Baptist. His posts are hateful, hurtful, and filled with the bitter venom of ignorance. It would be better if we all just ignored him in every form, which is exactly what I plan to do. From this post foreward I will not respond to JacobHall for any reason, and regardless of whatever stupidity he transfers from his mioptic brain to his computer screen.

Ha, you have no clue who I am, where I come from, What I ahve seen, done heard or been apart of. But its cool, I could take this as a chance to make a cheap shot, but I wont.

And Richard, if you truely cared my opinion on YEC, you would ahve sent me a PM, not started an attack thread.

Even if what you say is true, wouldn't you agree that the way in which you've responded isn't in keeping with the Lord's teachings? I think it would be beneficial for everyone on this forum to show a degree of respect to other posters, whether or not they deserve it.

But for the record, Jacob has never said anything disrespectful to me. Are you sure we're talking about the same person?

Hey, I've "known" Jacob on another board for about a year now. He might be a little rough around the edges, but I could certainly chalk that up to the anarchistic, unmoderated nature of the other forum. People had to be mentally tough to keep on track there.

But to suddenly pass judgement on his status as a Christian, that's nonsense. I have no doubt that he is, and just because someone doesn't conform to whatever you imagine the "true" character of a Christian should be, it doesn't invalidate the reality of his status as a disciple of the Lord. We may not agree on certain intermediate-level theological aspects of the Creed, but he's solid.

Take that for what it's worth, but throwing out the baby with the bathwater--which amounts to judgement--is just too far.

Is this an attack thread? I thought it would be nice if everyone could benefit..

I have a better Idea, Ill send you a PM to a forum that is basically unmoderated and you can say awhtever you want. But keep in mind, theres lots of guys there who will say what they think as well.

Richard, by means of this thread you are essentially putting Jacob on trial. And not only this, but rather than give him a fair defense and judgment by his peers, you are judging him. See the problem?

This is a pertinent Scripture for everyone who participates in this thread:
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. (1 John 5:1)

I didn't see Richard's post as being an attack thread. I thought he was trying to figure out how Jacob's thinking process works. I would like to know also. I could be wrong and maybe Richard has the wrong motive. I hope he doesn't though.

Richard's phrase "you flamed me" in the OP makes me think otherwise. But it's certainly possible that I am the one who is misunderstanding Richard. I hope so, because I hate to see Christians attacking one another.

Ditto. I would be afraid to see what my blood pressure is at in recent weeks. All those politcal ads here in Minnesota don't help either.

I would like to go on record as saying that Jacob is indeed a Baptist and a very knowledgeable one at that. He is also a pretty cool guy.

I have JacobHall on ignore because of some of the language he uses, but I didn't see the thread as being attacking until the second post which was not made by Richard. I think it would be nice to have a creation discussion here. PM's don't really serve a purpose unless you're saying something personal.

I'm sorry, but I see this as an attack thread. To say that someone is probably not a Christian is just wrong. Who are we to make that kind of judgement? Only God can do that. I think we all need to take a step back and take a deep breath. This thread is not very christian-like at all.

This Guy goes to my parents Church. I talked to someone on Staff there about him and some of his beliefs. They knew who he was and told me he was young and because he is in school he thinks he knows it all and to ignore him.

people get over yourselves, toughen up a bit and stop whining

1 Timothy 4
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

currently out to lunch, i will be back to hear your wonderul remarks when i return

Thanks, rajuncajun for the verses. I think they're appropriate. I don't think God is very pleased right now.

BTW, I just want to point out how this has turned into an attack thread, because I ruffle peoples feathers around here. Thanks for letting me know Im doing the right thing.

Here is the count,
Matthan has stated I am not a Christian and am actually an Athiest trying to cause disharmony.
TwinCrier has me on ignore for the "language" I use, even though I hardly ever swear in my daily activities, and I dont on here at all.
GivenGrace actually went behind my back and talked to someone on staff at my church about me, and hasnt as of yet told me who that staff member was, or what crazy Beliefs I have.

And yet, it is I who is told that I am causing bad things to happen. BTW, I have NEVER, not once, attacked any of the above. In fact, I have prayed for them, one inparticular when I felt they needed it the most. And I get this nonsense. Its no wonder Pastors leave churches every two years.
