Now, I doubt any of y'all have first hand knowledge of what I'm looking for, but maybe you know someone, who knows someone who might know. I'm looking for digitized Orthodox symbols to used with computerized embroidery machines. It doesn't matter what format, I can convert them to mine. So far, I have found one cross mixed in with a bunch of other Non-Orthodox Christian symbols. I don't want to pay $30 for a single design in a CD that has 20 or more designs.

Kami, do you have an embrodery machine?
Tell me, how large of a cross will your machine let you make with this software?
We made some blue clothes for our church but have no crosses on them. I planned to make some myself but when I made them they were too heavy and pulled too much on the fabric.
Since I really can't sew, we are at a standstill. I never thought about trying to find someone with an embroidery style sewing machine to do this.

Oh, by the way, you might post this over at the Circle... there might be some people over there that do this kind of thing.
I know a deacon's wife now that I think of it that said she used sewing embriodery for some work a couple years ago for her church. I don't have her phone number but I will be seeing her at a conference next weekend I am sure (she came last year to it anyway.)

They also have icons for free use online.

Thanks, Oblio, but they don't work. I don't have the digitizing software. That runs $300-400. I may end up saving my pennies for it if I can't find what I'm looking for.
XR, yes, I have an embroidery machine and I just posted it on the Circle's needleworing board. There are only a couple members, so I don't know what kind of response I'll get.
Most desgins are made to fit either a 4X4 hoop or a 5x7 hoop. I know I have a giant hoop bigger than those two, but have never used it. Here's one that I found availible by itself but I'd prefer the three bar cross

Thanks!
It looks like it might work, but I have to run it by the husband. It's not really a guy/chick thing. When I was shopping for this machine, I had to run everything by him in the first place. these aren't your typical sewing machines. Some of them are run on Windows, my machine runs on Linux. Once I had a list of the machines that had the regular sewing features I wanted, he looked over them to make sure all the computerized stuff would work with Mac and be easy to use.

Hey! I think my motherinlaw has one of those computerized emroidery machines and maybe even the software that can convert a normal image into a emroidery pattern. When I was over there for my sisterinlaw's graduation, she was showing it to me some. It was really neat.
If you're interested and can tell me what you want, I could try asking her if she'd convert them for you. She's kind'a busy, so it might take a while. But then again she might enjoy having a reason to play with her emroidery stuff. Anyway, let me know.
