After having read the above thread and shaken my head over and over again at how miry the conversation became, I realized something.

It is beautiful to see the RCC, EOC, and OOC posters backing each other up like they are. I know this happens fairly regularly in GT. And I won't deny that (especially between RCC and EOC), we come to our impasses, and I, naturally, take the EOC side. But when it comes to an issue like Apostolic Succession? That's very cool to see.

It just ministers to my soul to see us stick together. I am really reminded to pray for RCC/EOC/OOC reconciliation in Truth and in Love. It won't be easy. It won't go quickly (unless God speeds it all up, though we EOC/OOC are very close). But I hope and pray that it will happen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us. :crosseo:

Your thoughts?

I read this page , it is great when the OO , EO and RC express the ancient Apostolic faith .

we have the same roots so we have a strong and common base . we need to make alot of efforts toward the unity

We all have common bonds to the original Apostolic church established by Jesus Christ, which is something the churches established in the last 500 years do not have. We have a common history with the original ecumenical councils (up to Chalcedon for the OO) and the terrible tragedies of Islamic subjugation of the Eastern Churches only served to make our separation permanent. It all boils down on what we're willing to give up for unity. May the Holy Spirit guide us towards becoming one holy universal (Catholic and Orthodox) and Apostolic church.

Hopefully, none of the Truth of our faith. But yeah, humility and mutual submission will be absolutely necessary. It's probably not going to be easy for any of us, but if it's in truth and in love, it will be more than worth the effort.
