As we know according to the 12th chapter of Daniel, the Tribulation has a determined length of 1290 days. This is the answer to Daniel’s Question, “How long will all these terrible things last?” In Revelation we are told that two prophets of God must prophesy for 1260 days during this tribulation, and at the end of those days (1260) they will be killed and lie in the streets dead for 3 ˝ days, and then in front of all the world they are raised up to heaven. The feast of Yom Teruah points to the second coming. It is known as the “awakening blast” when the dead are awakened for resurrection. It is also known as the “opening of the gates” referring to the time when the Gates of heaven are opened to all those who know the Lord. It also begins the final ten days of repentance called the “Days of Awe!” At the conclusion of these ten days is the “Closing of the Gates” when all those who have not repented are left to face judgment on their own. It is Yom Kippur, the day of Judgment, known in Revelation terminology as “Armageddon.”
In the revelation the raising up of the two slain witnesses also marks the resurrection of the righteous, and the glorification of the living, including the 144,000 witnesses who are sealed with the immortal body.
This March 13th becomes a very interesting date in this because:
It is just before Puim (March 18) which is the feast of the historical deliverance of Israel.
1290 days from March 13th brings you to Yom Teruah, the opening of the gates of heaven and the awakening blast of resurrection.
If the two witnesses are raised up at the same time as the righteous dead and using the Revelation timeline they would begin their prophesying 1263 ˝ days earlier, which is April 8, 2003 on our calendar. On the Hebrew calendar that would be Nisan 6.(one week before Passover) If we reflect back to this day in the year of the crucifixion, it was the day that Yeshua and his disciple entered Jerusalem. As his disciple marveled over the buildings of the temple, Yeshua told them that not one stone would be left one upon another, and proceeded to expound to them all the things that would take place before His return.
It is very possible that the war that begins the Great Tribulation will begin on or about March 13th 2003, and soon after, within days, it will spread to Israel.

Hello Blind faith.
All of the Moedim are prophectic of Messiah both of his first coming as the lamb of God and as the Lion from Judah. Almost everything that is written in the Revelation has its foundation or parallel in other prophetic writings such as Isaiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Habakuk, Daniel. For example, if you read chapters 24 through 27 of Isaiah, you will find a condensed version of the entire book of revelation. Like wise the book of Daniel, the prophet is told to seal up the book until the time of the end. Chapters 12 through 14 of Revelation, picks up the laguage and imagery of Daniel and is in fact the continuation, the things that Daniel was told to seal up. They were revealed in the last days. (Remember that the last days begin to an extent anyways, when the Messiah comes, the first time. Therefore John and others say, "Beloved, these are the last days.")
If we allow scripture to define scripture and then apply it to history we see some amazing tayloring, a perfect fit. What I do is look for the next piece to be come history and see if it fits the patterns laided down by the word of God. We are at one of those points in time where many things seem to come together in just the right way.
Have you noticed that there are three nations who are purhing us into world war three; the US, the UK and Spain. And in the end times prophecy there are three nations that get out of line with the other nations and they are plucked up, (the three horns) and out of their place comes up a little horn who is Anti-Messiah. These three nations are standing in opposition to the UN which I believe is the 8th beast, the final empire. Remember that the last beast comes togther as a conglomeration of all the previous empires and claims to rule the entire world. (By the way, Judea chrisitianity is only a minority in the UN, most are Muslim) But that is another matter all together.
The issue is, that we may be right on the edge of the great tribulation. In the 1500 the calendars were changed to bring them all together into agreement. At that time 240 years was cut off the Hebraic calendar. That means that we are right in the year 6003 according to the correct Hebrew calendar. Many Jewish scholars of the past agreed that the Lord had decreed a great week of seven 1000 year days. And that there would be 6000 years for the Kingdoms of men and then a 1000 year kingdom of Messiah. There is a transition between them of 7 years, the last three and one half being the birth pains of the Messiah, or the great tribulation. We are at that very point in time. Here is some more interesting information, beginning in aug 1999, (Year 6000 on the Hebrew) there are two Solar eclipses visible over Jerusalem at noon. The first on 8-11 99 and the last at 3-29-06. Between these there are 7 blood moons al visible over jerusalem. The first three at six month intervals, and then a pause for a short time, like silence in the heavens for the space of half and hour. and then 4 more blood moons all visible over Jerusalem at six month intervals, beginning may 16-03.
This is a very unusual spacing and occurance to all be visible over Jerusalem. Everything in this day seems to focus on Jerusalem doesn't it?

Shalom, Charles - long time, no see. I pray that all is well.
This is so interesting, Charles. Thank you for sharing.
Someone I know says it this way: "The characters are in place, the stage is set, and the curtain's about to go up."
I am always keeping my eyes on Israel.

Pray 4 Israel,
Thanks for the kind words and I agree with your friend as you can see. I have thought for many years that the UN would be the final empire because it is made up of the seven, not one of the seven and not the seventh one come again, but "of the seven" in otherwords a mixture off all the preceeding. These are the kingdoms of interest. They are important because they are all root empires are all major powers in the earth and all have control of the lands of Israel for a time. They are:
Egyptian
Assyrian
Babylonian
Persian
Greek
Rome
The seventh is special because it come about near the end and has control of Israel for only a very short time.
British Empire. Controlled Israel a mere 40 years.
So the Empire that is the eight come from a mixture of all of these but is not any one of them revived, such as Rome.
There has been no world empire that meets these requirements except the UN. The United states is a nation of ethnic diversity but has never ruled over Israel. The UN is actually at the formation of modern Israel.
This last beast Empire is different than all the others because of its being a blending of nations. It also has ten prominant kings end the end times, shown as horns. Two things come to mind here, the UN has ten elected members to the secuity council, and it has also divided the world into ten economic regions over which it is appointing a governor for each. And now the US the UK and spain are resisting the other over Iraq. I wonder if the three will be plucked up and then the little horn will grow up out of the place where they had been. This is all pretty wild speculation I suppose but as I said I am always looking for a possible fit. The Lord gave us the information that he did so that we can be aware of what is happening.
This week should be very interesting in any case and we should all be prayerfully active. The pretrib rapture bus is not a reality of scripture. It is the invention of a few misguided men who have made a ton of money selling this doctrine to the church. We must be spiritually and emotionally ready for what may be coming at us.

Another little tid bit on time.
In the book of Jubilees it tells us that Adam and Eve fell to sin on the 17th day of the second month in the 7th year after creation. In several places in scripture we are told that 1000 years is but a day to the Lord. And it was generally believed that the kingdoms of men would continue for 6 days (6000 yrs) and then the great Sabbath day (the 7 thousanth yr.)
By the corrected Hebrew calendar, we are now living in the 6003.5rd. year from creation, and are 3.5 years from the aniversary of the 6000th year since the fall of man and the expulsion from the Garden. Putting it in simple terms, the 6000 years of mens kingdoms expires 1290 days from March 13th , 2003. (Thursday) Daniel was told that the great tribulation would continue for 1290 days and then there would be an end to it and the dead would be raised up. Let us keep our eyes open for a special event this week on or about thurday. Like the beginning of the final war that leads to Armageddon perhaps?

Greeting Charles! In my opinion, the center of the entire universe is Jerusalem. Period.
I wasn't kidding before when I said I'd have to print everything out and study it. :) There's a lot to let sink in, when I've never been taught anything like this before.
Blessings to you,

Hello friends,
I am still waiting to see what falls out of the tree. On the 13th a couple things happened on the 13th that was rather interesting. The pope made a public statement that the Catholic church will side with Islam and the Palestinians. Bush said that they would not call for a vote on the referendum. The reason he is not pushing the new resolution now is because he knows he can not swing a majority, which is the best they can get with three permanent members vetoing. But it shows a type of general approval. So if he calls for the vote and can't show a majority, then the US becomes a bif time renagade to the UN and the world community, and then if after the war there is not evidence of Saddam using WMD's we look really bad. However if he does not call for a vote, the resolution 1441 stands on its own with a sort of plan to force Saddam. So Bushes changing his mind on the vote is an indication that he desided to move forward independantly. He has to do so even without blair, because blair is about to loose his government over this. So are we going on alone...?
And immediately the moved in the B2 bombers and ordered the two carrier fleets and 6 missile ships out of the med and into the Red sea. And Bush turned his attention again to Israel and made the big public push for the formation of a Palestinian state in Israel. (A move that would be the same as the mexicans in America to demand that we allow them to form a new country in the US and take California for its capital.)
On the other side, Saddam moved his armour to the south to attack Kuait, and it is reported that there was a big puch to the West to the site of his skud missle that are aimed at Israel, and in striking distance.
I am not really trying to make a big case for the 13th after the fact. But I wonder if in the days ahead if we might look back to the 13th and say, that was when it really started.

I personaly believe we have a ways to go yet , Jesus describes the end time thus :
Luke 21 - And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Jesus description of the earth at the end time doesn't look to good does it! And i believe that when that time comes...the polar ice will have melted causing a weight distribution of water on the earth and thus bringing about a prophecy of Isaiah and what Jesus said above :
Isaiah 24 :Isaiah 24
19The earth is violently broken,
The earth is split open,
The earth is shaken exceedingly.
20The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard,
And shall totter like a hut;
Its transgression shall be heavy upon it,
And it will fall, and not rise again.
21It shall come to pass in that day
That the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones,
And on the earth the kings of the earth.
I also believe that this will bring about johns prophecy in the book of revelation about the stars falling to the earth only they won't be stars but more likely they will be satellites falling from their orbits .
If there is to be a tribulation period...I believe it will happen at a much later date , now is way to soon .

Fascinating study....In the talk about the last days with His disciples, Yeshua gave an order for the events....preaching the gospel to the world.... then the abomination of desolation....{the desolation the first time was the Romans entering the temple 70AD and desecrating it with SOL sun god, sacrificing a pig, which they knew would inflame the Jews into a riot.} either one, I am sure would be a signal to the believers to flee, while the defenders of the temple perished. At the same time the reason that I bring this up, is where is our abomination of desolation that we are to know to flee to the wilderness....????
I can understand the need to see how the political world, religious world, financial world, as they relate to the Book of Revelation are important to us knowing what phase of prophecy we are at. I believe it is more important for us to be where God wants us to be so that He can save us. With that said, study on, and report your finding, which I have found fascinating. With prayer and study, the Lord will continue to peel the seals and open up the books of history so that we may see the unfolding of Revelation.
