I believe that God expects us to be righteous people..meaning to do the things which are right...do you have a different view on righteous ness?

Well, if it makes any sense, I believe that we are just dirty, filthy rags incapable of doing any good at all.... on our own. Through Christ all things are possible, and I believe he helps us to do good and through the Holy Spirit we are led to do right. I believe we are to do right, yes, but it is only through him that we can acomplish a thing.

I dont think he expects us to be righteous, for he knows we cannot, but we must be willing to let the Holy Spirit guide us and to let God show his mightly righteousness through us.

I believe we should be doing Good not because we have to but because we love the Lord and he can help us we have to try and fight our flesh and rebuke all things from the enermy and God is God and he can do anything and can help us over come our wicked ways.

Righteous means without guilt or sin.

That doesn't describe human beings to me. I think God wants us to strive to being righteous but He knows we will fail. It is the striving that makes us rich in love. When our bodies die, our souls are probably righteous.

We are being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Being righteous is not someting done for salvation but an honour to Him. Jesus tell us to repent and everytime we repent we are closer every step to righteousness. He has already made us clean because He died and rose from the dead.:clap:
