Just wanted to make sure, but it would be okay for me to give blessed Icons to other Orthodox, correct? Getting ready for her to move in next month and so converting the my Icon corner to the family Icon corner. But there's only so much space so I was thinking I'd give a few of the Icons I don't have room for to some people that just moved into the parish.

I don't see why not. And since they've already been blessed, you're saving the new owners a step.

It is a common thing in our parish to give icons that have already been blessed to each other and to other Orthodox. Our Priest likes to bless icons by putting them on the altar for a Divine Liturgy as well as his usual blessing. So when it is already blessed we can take it home right after getting it and using it instead of leaving it with the Priest for a week.

I asked permission once to give an icon to a nonOrthodox who knows me from here and asked for one. I knew it couldn't be blessed but my Priest told me so again.

I should add this to the "You know you are Orthodox" thread: You know you are Orthodox when you get even more excited to receive a "painting" (Icon) with water spots on it! :P
