View Full Version : Why do people think it has to be that way?

I don't know if it happens often or just in the places I've seen it, but it seems that nowadays more and more people think science somehow is out there to disprove God, yet in reality it is nothing more than a method of study and understanding, which I believe the Good Lord gave us to better understand the creations he has made. My question is, why exactly do people think science has to be some kind of..replacement for the Lord? If you ask me, science done without the Lord's guidance is nothing more than mechanized sorcery, as archaic as that sounds.

I think because the majority of scientists, are atheists who believe in evolution. There aren't alot who see Gods' hand in creation.

I agree with you, but there is also the big bang theory which says that the world came into being because two planets run into each other and the explosion brought forth the universe. They never can explain where the planets came from, nor can they explain how such a well orderly universe runs without the intervention of some some greater being, God.

However the fact they are atheists makes them no different than any other sinner who claims that they can don't believe in God. After all if we believe in God then we in turn have to admit that we are sinners bound for hell by choice. We have to admit that the need of a Saviour is man's greatest need.

And then, there are a lot that do, but they're not as esteemed by the establishment or the media.

Not to pick nits, but as I undestand the big bang theory it was not 2 planets colliding. It was an accumulation of hydrogen into one place, so dense that it caused a thermo-nuclear explosion of unimaginable magnitude. Thus, causing the creation of all the elements, etc.

They cannot explain where the hydrogen came from, nor the magnetic force that brought all that hydrogen into one place.

In short, the big bang theory cannot be proven scientifically. Too many laws of physics are violated by that concept.

The reason so many people believe in evolution instead of intelligent design is that the only information regarding the source of the universe and man that gets into the main stream media is that which supports evolution. No matter how flawed or plain stupid.

The believing scientists are simply written off as weird, or uninformed.
