Luke 15:10 "In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Praise Jesus is right. My heart is so filled with joy every time I see and hear of some one who has trusted in Christ.

Just remember....Christ never promised a happy and pain free life...he promised a happy and pain free eternity. When trials come I welcome them because it draws me nearer to God.

Welcome to the family of God. I strongly suggest you do the following:

a.) find a Bible believing Church and attend reguarly
b.) Read and study the Bible daily
c.) Pray daily
d.) Get involved with a Church and volunteer your time.

You'll never regret doing these things!!

Being born again is an exciting moment in our christian life. I can still remember how fervent I am for God when I first become christian. It is like, wow, you mean God can actually talk to man like a friend!

I had been brought up in traditional chinese religion and had come to think of God as distanced and cold until I found Jesus. :)

Congratulations! Enjoy Christ and grow in His life!
Find a Bible that you can read and understand well right now.
There are many good versions available. One of the first ones that I read was a New King James Version one year Bible. It gives a reading portion for each day that includes part of the Old Testament, part of the New Testament, and a Psalm and a Proverb.
You can get a free footnoted New Testament from www.biblesforamerica.org (http://www.biblesforamerica.org) - the footnotes can sometimes explain things that might be hard to understand.
Whatever version you get of the Bible, just be sure to read it daily and pray when you read it and ask the Lord to guide your understanding of it.

There are some excellent teen-Bibles that help put things into more modern words that make it easier to understand. You have to be careful because often these are paraphrase Bibles, which means you are getting the gist of what's being said, but not a literal word-for-word translation. This is often useful for a first-reading, so you understand the stories, before digging in deeper for the literal words and understanding.

For a literal translation that is also in more modern terms and easier to understand, I would recommend the NIV or TNIV, both of which can be read online for free at http://www.ibs.org/bibles or purchased at any Christian book store.
