Shalom
On another forum, there is a person claiming that members of your forum have converted to Judaism because Jewish members were allowed to post here. I didn't come here today to cause trouble but I came here to ask the members of this forum directly if you think people are leaving the faith because of that.

Converting to Judaism is bad?
I wonder where Jesus would hang out if he were here today? At a church or a synagoge?
Would he disown his own people or would he consider himself part of 'all Israel?'

There are a few non-Jewish (by birth) members who have converted to Judaism. However, I believe that that's going backward.
Adopting Jewish customs and going back to the Hebrew roots of our Faith as a result of believing on Messiah Yeshua is fine. But in converting to Judaism a person has to deny Yeshua as Messiah.... IMO, that's going back too far.

Of course that is going too far. But do you believe that those conversions were caused solely by this forum, as someone claimed in another thread?

Who is to say? those who converted would be able to tell you, not us :)
And no, I doubt an internet forum made that decision for them. But perhaps it sparked some ideas or thoughts that could have caused a change. I know that when I first asked in this forum what MJism was I started down my own path to becoming Messianic. This forum was a big help to me in that. So I can't say anything about anyone else.

Right off the top of my head, I know of 2 converts and one Noachide that use to consider themselves Messianic. All three were pursuing these options in some form or another before stumbling upon this forum.
I truly pity anyone who bases their faith on what they read on an internet forum.

Now see, this is exactly what I would have thought to be the case. But the person in the other thread stated that they converted because of the Jewish members of this forum and I found that hard to believe.

I've been involved with this forum for about 3 years, most of that as a staff member, so I take any claims of this forum leading people away from Yeshua very personal. This chap either needs to prove we have a greater "deconversion" rate than the rest of CF, or just back off.

When one reviews the texts that are promoted in the resource section

it does make one wonder. (Talmud, kabbalah, chabad, etc.)

Personally, nothing I read here would cause me to loose faith in Messiah Yeshua, or to convert to Judaism that denies him. I recognise the the Jewish brothers right to do that as Yeshua was a Jew and their own to reject or accept.
I would be more inclined to convert because of what I read in the Christian (Non messainic) forums with its many contradictions and unbiblical teachings and doctrines of men that deny who and what Yeshua is. That would be my motivation and I suspect it have been theirs as well.

Of course in all fairness you should have mentioned that the same person that posted those links also posted links to a couple of orthodox Brit Chadasha (new testament).

You might get a quicker response if you PM a mod. ;)

I will do that insaneinthebrain.
I got permission to post here what the person sent in PM.
I am probably one of the people referred to here. I can honestly say that my conversion had absolutely nothing to do with MJ forum. I had studied for conversion years before finding this forum, but my path veered for awhile and I became Christian, then Messianic. About 12 years later, I returned to Judaism and completed my conversion. I joined CF in December 2003. By March 2004, I already had changed my icon to the magen david and my conversion was a few months later. If anyone thinks that would have been enough time for me to come to this forum, become convinced that I should convert, have time to process and change beliefs and go through the conversion process, they are seriously mistaken.
