Yes, I have been given visions that have come to pass, and have glorified God.

I believe people have visions. I've read to much not to believe that. I had a vision that i would serve in Checkslovokia (sp) a long time ago. I don't know about that, but I know it was a vision. I mean I don't see me leaving the u.s. but I know it was a vision. It stays with you and is strong. The Lord is good and will provide a way for these things. Anyway, thanks, tapero

I believe that God can still give people visions. I do not think we have the right to limit him and say he does not give visions anymore. He can chose to communicate with his children however he sees fit.

I had one back in 2004. It was a little scary, but it was true to life. It was a warning from God and I took note of it! Some times I will pray for an answer from God and the answer will come as a flash/picture right before my eyes as I am wide awake, and sometimes my family will get an answer as though it was one of us talking at a time when we know everyone is still in bed.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

I don't know if you could say I have "visions" but I frequently get "in your face" lessons about God and life that could only be from God (See some of my recent posts) Clearly God IS at work in our lives and will work in any way needed to reach someone, if that requires a vision or whatever, then I guess so

I have personally never experienced one that I know of, but I don't discount others who claim they have.

Yes, Christians do still have visions. In fact, the young still have visions, and the old still dream dreams. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel still visits His children. As it states in the book of Job, God visits a man in a dream on his bed and gives him night visions to hide pride from man, in order that the recipient not be all puffed up by a more direct contact with God or by one of his messenger angels.

In the last 21 years [since I have been saved], I can recount about ten dreams from God. They are all powerful, vivid, and in beautiful color. And --- you can't break out of them, even if you try!

But Satan and his hordes can also give dreams. However, the Word says, Resist Satan and he will flee. I quit trying to count the witchcraft dreams at about 600 -- and that was about 18 years ago.

Just believe that God will give His children both visions and dreams. But you must try the spirit of the dream, because the Adversary always tries to counterfeit the Works of God.

Oh yes, absolutely. I have no doubt in my mind about this. Visions & dreams often bring so much more understanding in to our lives.

Also, if God didn't give visions or dreams to people this day in time; He wouldn't still have those with the gift of vision/dream interpretation. It is a blessing from God in my opinion.

I don't feel any of the gifts are dead, nor do I feel that God has been put in any sort of box in terms of how He interacts with us. I think people can overfocus on the supernatural, but it's sort of like the blind mice describing the elephant, each coming to conclusions based on what part they felt. We tend to take aspects of God and focus on them.

what kind of dreams?

Wow, everyone so far believes this. So do I.

There are also different kinds of visions. I don't usually call a dream a vision unless a vision appears in the dream. I believe visions can be "mental" meaning you see it clearly in your mind just as you might picture a memory of someone, and they can visibly appear like the angel appearances in the Bible. Both occur but the mental/mind type seem to happen more frequently than the visible. Those kind can also be called a visitation.

I see that you don't hold back! You give a clear cut idea of what you believe and why. I get those in the face lessons all the time. Right while you are standing there! You just can't miss them. Thank God for His speaking to us!:groupray:
